After years of rumors and false starts, the Spice Girls are going to finally reform for their first tour since their 2007 Viva Forever reunion, at least according to Mel “Scary Space” B. She shared the news with James Corden. “We’re going to be going on tour,” she told him. “Us four [non-Posh Spice Girls] for sure. We’ll see about [Posh], but us four are definitely going to be on tour. She might join us for a few [shows]. She better.”

CBS’ Big Brother this Thursday drew 6.4 million total viewers and a 1.8 rating, down 14 percent in the demo from its week-ago finals to equal its second-lowest Thursday rating for this cycle— and that is with NFL preemptions yet to be subtracted out. The '90s were an epic decade when it came to pop culture. While 90210 was steaming up your TV screens and inflatable chairs were taking over your bedroom, chances are the Spice Girls were blasting on the radio. The girl group - made up of Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), and Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice") - gave the "girl power" movement a whole new push. There were peace signs, British flags, and really high-heeled boots, and we wish we could just press rewind to go back to that simple time. The Spice Girls will forever be one of the greatest girl groups of all time. Like The Supremes, TLC, or Destiny’s Child, these ladies were a musical force to be reckoned with a penchant for girl power and glitter, producing one legendary pop hit after the next. But while they’ve repeatedly teased a reunion over the years, it seems it’s time to finally accept they’ve gone their separate ways, as Geri Halliwell a.k.a. Ginger Spice dropped her first global music release in 12 years on Monday, “Angels in Chains,” written as a tribute to her...

After 10 eventful weeks that seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, Dancing With the Stars has already reached its 24th finale — but you probably weren’t expecting this particular trio of contestants to be steps from the winner’s circle.

This year marks 20 years since the debut of Daria, the MTV series about a bespectacled, combat boot-wearing misfit whose defining trait was, on the surface, a deep disdain for those around her. In the years since viewers were first introduced to Daria Morgendorffer, she's become a heroine of sorts for many who saw (or still see) themselves as outsiders – particularly women – for whom mainstream depictions of non-traditional characters were, at the time, few and far between. This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” in the United States, and Mel B (aka Scary Spice) remembers the recording the song like it was yesterday.
“It was recorded and written in less than about 10 minutes. Robert Zemeckis is an established giant in the industry, despite having made fewer films than you probably think, and his status comes off the back of wild adventures. He’s recently moved toward things like Flight and The Walk, which at best aren’t great, and at worst are rather weird.
He seems to be moving both too close and too far away from the world of film, and/or he has begun to believe himself better than he is. Not to take anything away from his work and success, but the Back to the Future franchise requires a solid sense of filmcraft, but not a genius. Meanwhile, Forrest Gump, Contact, and Cast Away are in the realm of the Spice Girls of movies, they caused a hell of a stir at the time, but few admit to having ever liked them now.
This is all only worth mentioning because...

Man, when I woke up today I never expected to be comparing a classic children’s novel to a cheesy video game you play at adult Chuck E. Cheese. But here we are. What am I talking about? Jumanji and Let’s Go Jungle! of course. Still confused? Let me back up. If you haven’t heard, Dwayne Johnson is starring in a sequel to Jumanji. He will be joined by Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas, and Jack Black. While the plot is still under wraps, today the first official photo was released of the cast (minus one Jonas Brother). At first, only Kevin Hart had the image on his Instagram, sans any explanation. Which was…a bad idea. Day 1 of shooting "Jumanji" is officially in the can. We had a amazing first day. The chemistry & energy of our cast & crew was beyond amazing!!!! This movie is going to be dope as hell.

Hard to believe, but it’s been four years since Daniel Craig, the Spice Girls, J.K. Rowling, Kenneth Branagh, Mr. Bean, Queen Elizabeth II herself and a couple of camera-ready corgis kicked off the Summer Olympics in London.

It would take a comedic genius like Joanna Lumley to turn the single word “Gabon” into a three-act play. But it is the visionary Jennifer Saunders who wrote the joke, gave it to her partner in crime and brought the outrageous world of “Absolutely Fabulous” to life. And for that, we should all be in awe. Saunders is the star and creator of “Absolutely Fabulous” — “Ab Fab,” to fans — the movie based on the hit series that ran on BBC One for twenty years, and one of the most successful series-to-movie adaptations of the last decade.
Not that “Absolutely Fabulous” is a cinematic masterpiece, but unlike the big screen versions of “Sex and The City” or the just-released “Looking,” “Absolutely Fabulous” captures the irreverent fun of the series using an appropriately absurd plot device and does not read like a tired excuse to put the characters back in a room together.

It’ll be interesting to see how Schumer’s typically more polished comedy mixes with the loveably spotty “let’s put on a show” variety at Saturday Night Live. The model will appear when filming begins at London Fashion Week next month.
Saunders told The Mirror: "I can confirm that Kate does have a part in the forthcoming movie.
"It's not yet decided whether she'll have a speaking part or not, but she'll definitely be in it.
"She's a big fan of the show and we're pals, so – aside from the fact she's the definitive model - it was a no-brainer."

Mossy won't be the only celebrity cameo, as Saunders revealed: "There'll also be a bit of Spice with Emma Bunton and Lulu, obviously.

"Celebrity Deathmatch," MTV's claymation death-brawl with the stars, is returning with new episodes to MTV2! I support this. Along with "Daria," it was one of the network's chief forums for late '90s sarcastic commentary. I also remember hearing that the real members of Hanson wept upon watching their clay fight with the Spice Girls, and that is very funny. Let's pick our favorite claymation fight from the original series. While the "Michael Jackson vs. Madonna" showdown is legend, I remember at the time feeling like the duel between Jewel and Alanis Morissette was important. Maybe the "Alaska vs. Canada" element felt trenchant at the time? I don't know. I actually remember rooting for Jewel, which is such a funny childhood mistake. Clearly Alanis is the superior lyricist and performer. Get More: MTV Shows...

Most trends blaze hot for a brief moment in time, only to quickly disappear into the ether (languishing forever in yearbooks and mortifying music videos). The shelf life for most fashion fads is usually a decade, at most. Not so with platform shoes, a style that reigned from Carmen Miranda and Rita Hayworth‘s 1940s heyday until the Spice Girls and Deee-lite-drenched ’90s. Five decades of sky-high cartoonish heels! Their endurance is fascinating, considering they might be the tackiest invention in styledom. We can only attribute their endurance to the fact that they elongate the leg prettily – and they’re flashy enough for fans to see them from the cheap seats.
From David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust boots to the Tori Spelling‘s teen queen pumps, check out the craziest platforms, ever.

The line-up for Tuesday night's (May 27) second Britain's Got Talent live semi-final has been revealed.
Nine acts will take to the stage in front of Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, in a bid to make it through to the June 7 grand final.
The two runners-up will go before the judges one final time, as Cowell and the other judges choose which act joins the semi-final winner in the final.
The acts performing in the second semi-final are:
Ed Drewett
Drewett has penned tracks for the likes of One Direction and The Wanted, but took a step towards finding fame himself when he auditioned. He secured himself three yeses in Simon's absence. Drewett told Digital Spy that suggestions he is being paid by Simon are untrue.

Well, the Britain's Got Talent auditions are over, we have our semi-finalists, and the live shows begin tonight (tonight!) But to gear us up for the live shows, we thought we'd take a little trip down memory lane to revisit our five favourite auditions of the series.
With such a wide range of talent and a huge variety of acts on offer, it was tough to whittle it down to just five... But for whatever reason, these ones were the acts that stuck in our minds the most (apart from the owl in episode one... ah, what good memories). So read on for our picks, and then leave your choices below!
Darcy Oake

Can you believe that we're already in our fifth week of Britain's Got Talent auditions? Well, we are, and the hopefuls just keep on coming. And when the show wasn't bringing us its very own 24-style intro or facilitating an on-stage proposal (come on everybody: aww) or giving us an insight into Simon Cowell's dreams (cats playing guitars?), there was time for some people with varying levels of talent to give it their best shot. Read on for the good, the bad and the bizarre this week...
The Good...
Simon Cowell: Yes, really. Simon Cowell. But it's not that one! This one is a 37-year-old who probably wishes his mum had stuck with her original choice of name, Andrew (aside from the fact that it gives him a good Bgt gimmick.) This Simon does seem very sweet ("I want to make my parents proud") but judge Simon seems...

The cast of The Amazing-Spider Man 2 has been traveling the globe to promote their latest superhero installment in recent weeks, and on Monday, they made a special stop in San Francisco. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Dane DeHaan, as well as the film's director, Marc Webb, all visited our Popsugar offices, where they were game for a round of Pictionary, posed for photos, and sat down for a group interview. Andrew sported a freshly buzzed haircut and revealed serious nerves about his first Saturday Night Live hosting gig this weekend, while Emma, who was all smiles in jeans and a sweater, proclaimed that her Spice Girls name would be All Spice. Jamie kicked off the event with a raspberry mimosa before treating our editors to an impromptu "Popsugar" song and sharing a story about bringing his 4-year-old daughter, Annalise, to the Spider-Man set. It may surprise you to know that as of this writing, The Simpsons are still on the air. It has been on the air longer than most of What Culture’s readers have been alive. To give you an idea of how long the Simpsons has been around, I’ll state some facts. It has lasted through seven Batman movies, two Persian Gulf Wars, four American Presidents, Monica Lewinsky, and the internet dot-com boom. It was around before cell phones, high speed internet, and Miley Cyrus was even considered as having an option to exist. It outlasted grunge, Robbie Robertson and the Spice Girls’ ‘Girl Power’ relevance.
The Simpsons, primarily due to it’s longevity has become a cultural historical artifact of sorts, with shows related to current talking points of years past. Most of their current audience base will just as likely never heard of a guest star as...

Sunday night, HuffPost Celebrity was on hand at the MTV Vma red carpet to chat with the litany of stars flooding into an amped-up Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Below, we asked Shailene Woodley, Sarah Hyland, Iggy Azalea and more how they get lucky and which band they'd like to see reunite, 'N Sync-style.
Who: Theo James and Shailene Woodley
You play the perfect teenager in "Spectacular Now" and "The Descendants." What is about you that makes people relate?
Theo: That's a good question.
Shailene: As my characters, I feel like I’ve played very broken characters that are very different. Maybe growing up with two psychologist parents allowed me to tap into some of those hidden feelings.
How's the haircut going?
Shailene: I cut it for a film, but started a campaign to get other people to do it. My mom cut her hair too.
'N Sync is performing tonight.

After what seems like many, many weeks, the Britain's Got Talent auditions have come to an end. So were the final few acts worth the wait? Let us know in the comments section below.
The Best
James More
Magicians don't tend to do well on this show, but James More genuinely made us at Digital Spy wince as he impaled himself on a sword. But what could his next step be in the competition?
Freelusion
Cowell described their 3D dance show as like looking "ten years into the future". But were you impressed by the unique performance, or was it all too many fluorescent lights and effects?
Gabz
"Put your lighters in the air!" The 14-year-old's song is irritatingly catchy and the singer/songwriter/rapper/piano player not only left the judges beaming with delight but actually made leopard print onesies look cool! Anyone who can do that surely deserves a vote?...

Note: Do not read on if you have not yet seen Season 4, Episode 18 of Fox's "Glee," "Shooting Star."
Even before the April 11th installment of "Glee" aired, there was controversy. And Lauren Potter, who plays Becky Jackson, can't say she didn't see it coming.
Nearly halfway into the episode -- which had a Newtown, Ct victims advocacy group urging "Glee" fans not to watch at all -- the New Directions heard gunshots in the hallways and locked themselves in the choir room. The space that was last filled with Barry Manilow's "Copacabana" and the zig-ah-zig-ah's of the Spice Girls was dark, silent and filled with tears.
Eventually, the McKinley High students were released and shortly thereafter, the audience learned that Sue Sylvester's favorite Cheerio and the ultimate sassy sidekick, Becky Jackson, was the one who brought the weapon to school.

Why is it that Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Obama and Adele get all the love, while Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift and Peaches Geldof get it in the neck?
As the dust begins to settle on awards season, it becomes clear that some famous women get a lot more love than others. Rightly or wrongly, there are those whom everyone wants to make their instant best friend, and those who get it in the neck. Why is Adele so robustly likable, while the equally successful Taylor Swift often comes across like a wounded deer? Why would so many of us run into the nearest pub to neck shots with Jennifer Lawrence, and leave Anne Hathaway waiting in the car? Using deeply scientific methodology, we've uncovered the reasons behind this puzzling phenomenon.

Pogs. Saved By the Bell. Macaulay Culkin was making good films. The Simpsons was still amazing. Kenan & Kel. The 1990s were great for a lot of reasons. And if you still long for the days of Britpop, Saturday morning kids' TV and Dale Winton's Supermarket Sweep, tonight's (January 31) ITV2 series The Big Reunion will be right up your street.

There’s nothing new under the sun — which is just the way Millennials like it.
We’re a generation obsessed with our own recent past, as befits the children of Boomers. Our influence on the entertainment industry is also increasing as we grow older. That’s probably why 2012 was the year that a collective nostalgia for pop culture from the ’90s and even the early ’00s hit in full force. Sure, the year also featured its share of projects inspired by/cribbing from the ’80s or even earlier — we learned it by watching you, Generation X! — but generally speaking, a...
