All over Twitter, there has been nearly non-stop talk of Dan Harmon’s impending return to Community after being fired over a year ago. The buzz started immediately after the show’s last minute renewal for a fifth – and likely final – season, but what was once mere rumor was confirmed to be fact when Harmon told his Harmontown podcast audience Sony TV had asked him to return. A member of the audience than took that nugget of information and brought it to the Internet. Since then, all anyone wants to know is if he’s taking the job or, really, any news on what’s happening.

Update: I hear that Harmon’s deal to return to Community is not done, and negotiations actually hit a snag yesterday but expectations are that things will be worked out and he will indeed officially come back. Fresh off the surprising renewal of NBC's "Community," fans of the Greendale gang are in for another treat: It looks like Dan Harmon is officially making his return.
The former executive producer tweeted about his impending return on Saturday.
