Sundeep Verma, a Mumbai-based actor. Born in New Delhi , he grew up in a Rajasthani family and is the eldest among his siblings. Verma's educational background includes a Master's degree in Narrative Environment Design from Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design in London, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in New Delhi.
While initially focusing on design, Verma also pursued acting training at Cochrane Theatre in London and did Hindi plays at Rangparivartan Theatre in New Delhi. Despite achieving success as a Creative Director in the advertising industry, and after working with top agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, Grey, Omnicom Group & more, Verma ultimately chose to wholeheartedly embrace his passion for acting.
From a young age, Verma loved comic books and stories. His dad encouraged him to read at a postal library in New Delhi, which sparked his passion for storytelling and art. Verma even made his own comic books. After finishing school, he went to NIFT, New Delhi, to study design because he was fascinated by visual storytelling.
Following his studies, Verma entered the field of creative design, initially working with Wizcraft Entertainment and later establishing his own design studio in New Delhi. However, his profound interest in storytelling prompted him to pursue a Master's program in Narrative Environments Design at Central Saint Martins in London. Upon returning to India, Verma joined Ogilvy as an Associate Creative Director, lending his creative expertise to renowned brands. Despite his successful corporate career, his desire for a more fulfilling path ultimately led him to pursue acting.
At the age of 40, Verma made the bold decision to pursue his lifelong dream of acting. While initially unsure of the response, he sent his photographs to casting directors and was pleasantly surprised when he received a call from Mukesh Chabbra Casting Co., a top casting agency in India. Although he didn't secure the role he auditioned for, the experience inspired him to persevere. After months of dedication, Verma successfully secured the role of Raghu Pahan in the web-series "Aar Ya Paar" on Disney+Hotstar. His portrayal of the character, inspired by land mafias in Chhattisgarh, garnered praise and recognition. Verma continued to showcase his versatility and finesse in the role of Manohar Shah, a sweet and simple businessman, in the captivating series "Na Umar Ki Seem Ho" on Star Network's flagship channel. Working alongside esteemed actors like Iqbal Khan (Crackdown and Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do fame) and Ajay Trehan (Fauji, Kumkum Bhagya fame), Verma's talent shone through.
While immersed in the "Na Umar Ki Seem Ho" project, Verma secured another notable role in the fictional thriller web-series "D.A.U.," produced by Applause Entertainment. Portraying a Bomb & Explosives' Scientist associated with a terrorist organization, Verma brought intensity and depth to the character. This gripping series finds its audience on Sony Liv.
