Will this chnage help or hinder the longtime series' ratings? Could Big Brother be cancelled or is it sure to be renewed for season 26? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.

The Big Brother 26 season premiere arrives this July on CBS.
We finally know when the BB26 cast will grace our television screens and when host Julie Chen Moonves will welcome us to the Big Brother house.
CBS is returning to its two-night premiere for the hamsters and it should be a good one.
Julie Chen Moonves is also back as the host, where she will be featured during the premiere episodes, on eviction nights, and the season finale.
As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, we are likely looking at a much shorter installment than BB25. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Is everyone ready for a brand-new season of Big Brother?
When is the Big Brother 26 season premiere?
The Big Brother 26 start date is Wednesday, July 17. That will lead to the second episode debuting on Thursday, July 18.

Julie Chen Moonves has returned to creating interest in Big Brother on social media.
She does this around this time each year, especially as fans clamor for news about new seasons.
Soon, the Big Brother 26 cast will dominate our attention, with a new group of players competing for the $750,000 prize.
It was recently revealed that new people are helping create the BB26 cast, possibly bringing in some new ideas on how to keep the show fresh.
Meanwhile, many BB25 cast members are at odds following a dramatic and chaotic season during the Summer of 2023.
But it’s almost time to begin focusing on a new cast. Ahead of that, Julie is looking back at past Big Brother moments.

“I’ve been hacked on twitter,” Big Brother alum Felicia Cannon wrote on Instagram.
“Sahana, get out of my twitter account,” she concluded the post.
In a scathing video posted to her Instagram account, Felicia told her followers that her Twitter account (now known as X) had been hacked.
“Why do people do this? This is the negativity of social media,” Felicia said in part of the long live video she shared.
Felicia understandably drags the person she feels has taken over her account. She hopes to find a way to get it back.
The Big Brother 25 alum is very upset about what has happened and wants everyone to know about it. She also has a warning for anyone else who might try it.

Felicia’s full video is shared below, where she warns anyone who might try to hack her other social media accounts.

Some Big Brother 25 drama surfaced (again) on social media between America Lopez and Jared Fields.
America and Jared were on the BB25 cast, but both came up short in their quest to win the $750,000.
Jared was sent home early in the season after trying to play both sides of the house. It was part of an attempt to keep it a secret that fellow player Cirie Fields is his mom.
America made it to the jury phase of the season but got evicted a bit before the final weeks happened. America then voted for Jag Bains to win on the finale night.
As a reminder, Jag beat Matt Klotz to become the Big Brother 25 winner. Bowie Jane finished in third place, and Cameron Hardin was named America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Cory Wurtenberger and America began a showmance in the Big Brother house that has continued into the real world. That...

Big Brother Reindeer Games, the surprise hit of the holiday season, came to a close on Thursday night (December 21) as the Christmas-themed spinoff crowned its first winner. The two-week special kicked off on CBS on December 11 and saw nine former Big Brother houseguests enter “Santa’s Lodge” where they battled it out in a series of holiday-themed competitions in an effort to “save Christmas.” Those nine returning players were Xavier Prather, Taylor Hale, Nicole Franzel, Frankie Grande, Cameron Hardin, Cody Calafiore, Danielle Reyes, Josh Martinez, and Britney Haynes. The show was hosted by fellow Big Brother alumni Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. Thursday’s finale came down to a face-off between Season 24 winner Hale and Season 18 winner Franzel. The pair had to scale a pile of foam pieces, navigate a maze, and build a tower out of snowflakes, and it was that last part that proved the trickiest.

And then there were four. Heading into the season finale of “Big Brother Reindeer Games,” Frankie Grande (BB16), Nicole Franzel-Arroyo, Taylor Hale (BB24) and Xavier Prather (BB23) were all still in the hunt to win the $100,000 grand prize. But which ho-ho-houseguest ultimately claimed victory and saved Christmas?

Big Brother has been on the air for over 23 years, delivering wild twists, quests for power, and drama.
This year's entry -- Big Brother 25 -- was the show's longest to date, clocking in at 100 days- long, resulting in one of the biggest duds in its history.
If you were in the market for twists that went nowhere, the game being randomly paused for a week thanks to a twist, and evictions not sticking, it was the season you've always been waiting for.
As a fan since the beginning, I want to forget about Big Brother Season 25 because it went on too long and didn't have the excitement of prior seasons due to the terrible pace.
While there were rumors that CBS could be prepping a Legends season for the winter as the network struggles with a lack of shows due to the strikes, we're getting something different.

It’s not nine lords a leaping but nine alums competing again in the “Big Brother” house. “Big Brother Reindeer Games” unveiled its full cast on Thursday and it’s probably who you might’ve expected.
The cast features five “Big Brother” champs — Cody Calafiore, Nicole Franzel, Taylor Hale, Josh Martinez and Xavier Prather — in addition to Season 12 America’s Favorite Player Britney Haynes and reigning Season 25 Afp Cameron Hardin. Rounding out the cast are “Bb” legends Frankie Grande and Danielle Reyes.
The inclusion of Britney, Frankie and Danielle isn’t too surprising since they were the ones who activated the multiverse on Season 25 with the Time Laser and unleashed “Reindeer Games” when they attempted to fix it on the finale last month.

During the season finale of “Big Brother 25,” perennial host Julie Chen Moonves made a big announcement about an upcoming spin-off series. “Get ready for a brand new show from the ‘Big Brother’ universe. It’s called ‘Big Brother Reindeer Games,'” teased the Chen-Bot. “It’s a new game and a new set of rules, as legendary ‘Bb’ players return to compete to be the last one standing. Six action-packed holiday-themed episodes with special appearances from ‘Bb’ favorites — Jordan Lloyd, Derek Xiao and Tiffany Mitchell — as Santa’s Elves.”
Surprisingly, the “Big Brother Reindeer Games” cast members will not live in the “Bb” house and will not vote each other out. Instead, everything will be centered about competitions. In other words, get ready to hear “Let’s go!” a lot. All six episodes will be pre-taped prior to its debut on December 11, which means there will be no live shows and no live feeds.

Plenty of “Big Brother” history was made Thursday night when host Julie Chen Moonves declared Jag Bains the Season 25 winner over runner-up Matt Klotz. The 25-year old from Omak, Washington became the first Sikh contestant to win the game after becoming the first member of the community ever cast earlier this year. He took home $750,000 when the jury voted 5-2 in his favor.
Heading into the night Jag had already set the record for most Power of Veto wins in a single season, with seven, but after winning the final Hoh competition (his third), he also became the biggest comp beast ever with a total tally of 10. The previous record was held by Janelle Pierzina with nine victories in Season 7.

Following the live eviction of Felicia Cannon from the “Big Brother 25” house, only the Final 3 players remained in the game. With the three-part Head of Household still to come, Tuesday’s special episode featured the Mafia alliance members reminiscing about their favorite moments from the season. The last houseguests also received emotional messages from home, which brought the tears as the 100-day finish line loomed.

Jag Bains made history on “Big Brother 25” Sunday night when he claimed his seventh Power of Veto, passing Michael Bruner‘s previous record of six he set just last year. Unlike Michael, Jag was able to secure a place in the season finale which will air Thursday, November 9 on CBS. After winning the Veto, the 25-year old from Omak, Washington cast the sole vote to evict Felicia Cannon. Next he will face off against Bowie Jane and Matt Klotz in the two-part final Hoh competition. The winner of that will decide who the jury votes for as the Season 25 champ and the $750,000 grand prize.
Other all-time Veto legends include Janelle Pierzina (Season 7), Daniele Briones (Season 8), Paul Abrahamian (Season 19) and Kaycee Clark (Season 20), who each won five times. See the full list in order of wins in our gallery above.

Heading into Sunday’s live eviction episode of “Big Brother 25,” the penultimate Head of Household of the season had just been crowned: Bowie Jane. The Australian DJ would soon name her two nominees for eviction, but as we all know, it’s really the Veto winner who holds all of the power in the Final 4, because they’ll have the sole vote to evict. So which person won the Power of Veto, and who ended up being sent to the jury house by the end of the live hour?

Mama Felicia or Mama Cirie: which of these fan-favorites was about to be evicted from the “Big Brother 25” house? Their downfall started when Matt Klotz won Head of Household and nominated both of them for eviction, despite telling them that Bowie Jane was his real target. But Bowie was really a part of the Final 3 “Mafia” alliance between Matt, Bowie and Jag Bains, and once Jag won the Power of Veto, it was all over for one of the two Mamas. So who ended up leaving the house in fifth place?

Heading into the Week 13 Veto episode of “Big Brother 25,” Head of Household Matt Klotz had just nominated Cirie Fields and Felicia Cannon for eviction despite telling Cirie he would keep her safe. While things looked dire for the two houseguests nicknamed “Mama,” the Power of Veto competition could still save one of their games. So how did everything play out on Halloween night?

CBS’s Big Brother Season 25 is ending soon, and we’re keeping a close watch as the jury accrues members. The seven houseguests who don’t make it to the finale become the jury, and they decide who wins the prize money from the final two. So, does the Big Brother jury get paid? Here’s what to know, plus rules the jury members have to follow.
Do ‘Big Brother’ jury members get paid?
There’s great news for Big Brother Season 25 jury members — and that’s that they continue to get paid until the game ends. Each player reportedly earns around $1,000 each week they’re in the Big Brother house. And for houseguests who make it to the jury, they continue to earn $1,000 weekly. Making the jury in season 25 means you earn around $14,000 before the season ends.
Elena Davies from season 19 spoke on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast about the houseguests’ weekly stipend.

When we last recorded power rankings for “Big Brother 25” it was when Matt Klotz and Jag Bains were still utilizing Cameron Hardin to their advantage under the mask of a “Fugitives” alliance in the Top 10. Since then, Matt and Jag orchestrated the eviction of Cameron and stand alone as the “Minutemen,” a two-player alliance that has ruled the late-game with an iron fist. Standing ini the way of Matt and Jag are Cirie Fields, Felicia Cannon and Bowie Jane, three players all under the impression that they’re the ideal third wheel to Matt and Jag’s plans. But with the November 9 finale night looming, only one of their plans will play out through to the end.
Below, read our third and final power rankings of the season for the Top 5 as we consider how the season will finish with only two houseguests sitting in the finale chairs in front of their jury of seven.

And then there were five. After the double evictions of Blue Kim and America Lopez, the remaining “Big Brother 25” houseguests competed in the Final 5 Head of Household competition to see who would win power for the week. Outgoing Hoh Bowie Jane was not eligible to compete, but the others all duked it out in the backyard, with the ultimate winner going on to nominate two houseguests for eviction. So how did it all play out on Sunday night?

For the second time this season, two houseguests were about to be evicted on “Big Brother 25.” However, unlike the last double eviction, there would be no zombie comeback twist to save one of their games. The first person booted would be either America Lopez or Blue Kim, as they were both nominated by Head of Household Jag Bains. Following that ouster, we would see an entire week’s worth of gameplay, with an Hoh comp, a nominations ceremony, a Veto challenge, a Veto meeting and a second eviction.

Following the unanimous eviction of Cory Wurtenberger from the “Big Brother 25” house, only seven people remained in the game. The October 19 episode of “Big Brother 25” will end with one contestant being eliminated and becoming the second juror of the season. Not-so-secret Head of Household Jag Bains initially nominated Felicia Cannon and Blue Kim for eviction. However, Jag and Blue later won the two Veto medallions and will likely both use them on Felicia and Blue, respectively, which opens a backdoor possibility for the showmance duo of Cameron Hardin and America Lopez.
Gold Derby users already think they know who’s going home on Thursday night. According to our Week 11 predictions, Cory has leading 63/100 odds to be evicted. Cameron Hardin has been the winningest player on “Big Brother 25,” the most targeted and the most evicted. The stay-at-home dad was evicted unanimously for the second time on Thursday’s “Big Brother 25” to become the first member of the seven-person jury. After reentering the game in Week 9, he held all the power as the Hoh and Veto winner and was thisclose to backdooring Cory, but was talked out of it by his fellow Fugitives, Matt and Jag, who were prioritizing their Minutemen final two. His loyalty to Matt and Jag would ultimately lead to his demise as the pair convinced Bowie Jane to backdoor Cam this week. But in a pooled exit interview, Cam says he has no regrets riding so hard with the Fugitives.
“I don’t regret putting so much faith in the Fugitives. It was part of the game,” he states (watch above). “You can look back...

‘Big Brother’s’ Matt Klotz in tears over hearing disability, says constant whispering ‘takes a toll’
Emotions always run high in the “Big Brother” house, but one contestant became increasingly distraught throughout the past week as his disability had a swelling impact on his game. Matt Klotz, a 27-year old swimmer from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, broke down in tears while whispers swirled throughout the house. But it wasn’t because of the lies and backstabbing going on, it was because he simply couldn’t hear.
The first deaf player in “Bb” history grew agitated on Thursday’s episode when his alliance was hashing out plans in the bathroom. Although he’s not completely deaf, Matt needs hearing aids to pick up any noise from regular conversation. He explained whispering sounds like nothing more than “hard breathing,” and after dealing with it for 72 days it had taken its toll.
“In the real world people know not to whisper around me,” he confessed in the diary room. “It...

Cameron Hardin became the ninth houseguest to exit the “Big Brother 25” house (and first to join the jury) when he was evicted by a vote of 6-0 on Thursday night. The 34-year old stay-at-home father from Eastman, Georgia was ousted on Day 72 over Cirie Fields. Head of Household Bowie Jane was targeting Cirie, but her allies Jag Bains and Matt Klotz wanted the comp beast out. When Jag won the Power of Veto, he used it to his advantage and pulled Felicia Cannon off the block, forcing Bowie to throw up a replacement, and she chose Cameron.
“There’s a lot of space and time in that house,” Cameron told host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview. “A lot of time to mess up. Even though I felt that I was probably in a fairly good position, you let paranoia creep in and you say the wrong thing at...

Heading into this week’s live eviction episode of “Big Brother 25,” Head of Household Bowie Jane was hoping nominations would remain the same and either Cirie Fields (Bowie’s true target) or Felicia Cannon would be sent packing. Unfortunately for Bowie, her ally Jag Bains won the Power of Veto and has other plans. He plans to pull Felicia or Cirie off the block in hopes Bowie will backdoor comp beast Cameron Hardin. Meanwhile, Cameron is putting the pressure on Bowie to backdoor another threat in the game, Cory Wurtenberger. Whoever goes home tonight will become the first member of the seven-person jury voting for the winner on finale night.
