Ya gotta love passionate fans, but this is ridiculous. Not long after DC fans launched a petition to see a full Zack Snyder director's cut of Justice League, a new group of fans has launched a petition to see a Joss Whedon director's cut of the movie. The petition reads:
Everyone who saw Justice league can attest to the sheer genius that Joss Whedon brought to the movie. If he had been allowed to bring his entire vision to the screen, the movie would have been that much better. Examples of his touches include "Booya" as uttered by cyborg and the now classic line "My man" that has now become a battle cry by fishermen the world over after Aquaman showed he could speak to fish And quip at the same time. Let's make it happen. Join me and together we can see the rest of the mustachioed footage left on the cutting room floor.

The Goat is finally addressing the Big Baller ... with Michael Jordan saying once and for all Lavar Ball "couldn't beat me (in 1-on-1) if I was 1-legged." His Airness was at his basketball camp in Santa Barbara on Monday when he was asked about Lavar's comments that he'd "make Jordan cry" if they were to play against each other. M.J. initially didn't want to entertain the idea, but ended up dropping the ether on Papa Ball.

There's a reason why Diane Lane didn't want the female lead in Pretty Woman.
On Monday's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the 52-year-old actress recalled going out for the role of prostitute Vivian Ward, which ultimately went to Julia Roberts. Lane said "everybody in town went for that role," but at the time, it was a very different film.

Jedi are hard to kill. Believe me. So many have narrowly avoided death in the Star Wars franchise. Obi-Wan avoided Order 66, as did Yoda, and a good handful of other Jedi. Anakin survived melting in lava, Luke survived a fall into the world's worst waterslide, and now Samuel L. Jackson wants us to believe, Mace Windu also lived. After all, all he lost was an arm and was thrown off a skyscraper. that's nothing. Right? At the Star Wars 40th anniversary panel at Star Wars Celebration, he had this to say:
"While you're all sitting there, I know you're all in my corner on this, we know Jedi can fall from incredible heights and survive. So, apparently, I am not dead! Yes, I have two appendages right now, but we know the long and rich history of Star Wars characters reappearing with new appendages and being stronger and better than they ever were.

White Martians took over the bodies of some of our heroes on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 11, making it impossible to know who to trust.
We also said goodbye to M'gann, who is sadly heading back to Mars.
Below, TV Fanatics Steven Ford, Christine Orlando, Kathleen Wiedel, Jim Garner, and Yana Grebenyuk discuss missing James, Kara's feelings, and of course, "evil" Winn!

React to M'gann's decision to go back to Mars.
Steve: Well, good-bye then I guess? Something tells me M'gann will be back sooner rather than later. I think she will end up becoming a valuable ally to them down the road.
Christine: I wasn’t expecting that. I appreciated her reasoning, that if good people (or aliens) don’t stand up and fight for what they believe in, then that allows evil to take over. But I do feel bad for J’onn. The poor guy deserves a little love.

Actor Tom Holland recently shared a wonderfully touching and inspiring video of a visit he made to a children’s hospital. It really quite moving to see him bringing so much joy and happiness into the lives of these kids.
Yeah, it’s cool to see new stuff from the films that Marvel is making, and it’s fun to talk, speculate, and debate about these movies, but seeing the actors involved with stuff like this, trying to make the world a better place with the opportunities they’ve been given, is just as gratifying. Not only are many of the Marvel actors heroes on the big screen, but they are heroes in real life as well.
This motivates me, and this kind of stuff inspires me to want to make the world a better place. We’ve got a fresh new start in 2017… Let's make it happen!

Few producers have had the sort of impact in Hollywood than Will Packer has had, while remaining based in Atlanta, Georgia. From his early days producing independent films like Trois and The Gospel to producing the hit dance movie Stomp the Yard, taking him all the way through enormous hits like Think Like a Man and Ride Along and their respective sequels. In all his ventures, Packer has found a way to produce material that connected with African-American audiences in the country while finding and cultivating talent like Columbus Short, Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy and many more.
Packer’s latest film Almost Christmas teams him with writer/director David E. Talpert (Baggage Claim) to create an amazing ensemble comedy, starring Danny Glover as Walter, a widower and head of the Meyers family: feuding sisters Rachel and Cheryl (Gabrielle Union, Kimberly Elise), Christian (Romany Malco) who is in the...

Remember that time when everyone was excited about the prospect of a female Expendables even though that action series wasn't any good in the first place? We were guilty, too. But the prospect of an all female version of another Oceans 11, not That sounds worthy of premature fandom.
There's one in the works right now with Sandra Bullock & Cate Blanchett headlining a la Clooney & Pitt.
The film is currently being referred to as Oceans Ocho suggesting the team of thieves is only 8 women wide this time and maybe it's taking place in some Spanish-friendly locale? We wish it were using the working title of Oceans Veinticuatro because more actresses hollaaaaa.
There are already rumors zooming around about other possible co-stars like Jennifer Lawrence (because that one needs more franchise. smh) and Gillian Anderson (a far more intriguing proposition) but nothing is set in stone since we're still talking casting and pre-production.

I know that you think getting Spider-Man into Fox’s X-Men films is a pipe dream, but Deadpool director Tim Miller and producer Simon Kinberg are actually attempting to pave a way to strike a deal. When talking about the possibility of getting Spider-Man into their universe with SuperHeroHype, Miller said:
“Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.”
Those bridges are trying to be built with Marvel and Sony. Since Sony and Marvel were able to strike a deal, it means it’s not impossible to make deals with other studios. Kinberg went on to say:
“Both of us are close with [Marvel’s] Kevin [Feige], we respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way ’cause we’d would love to see it… I just don’t know if it would be possible.”
I believe it is possible if everyone is willing to work nicely together.

While visiting the set of "X-Men Apocalypse" and after a full day of shooting a scene where Apocalypse comes and recruits Angel with his three other horsemen, we find time to sit with director Bryan Singer in his trailer and pick his brain about what we just saw. This time around Bryan is shooting using a 3-D camera, has set this film in the 80's, and has introduced a new set of actors to play younger versions of our favorite characters.
The last scene that we have witnessed today deals with the special powers that pertain to Apocalypse. With the brush of his hands he can enhance your mutant powers as he does with Angel. Here is what Bryan had to say about his version of Apocalypse.
How has your day played out today?

TV's threatening to look a lot like my comic book shelf these days. One of the things I love about a comic book series that ends is that it represents a complete story, so when I start reading "Transmetropolitan" or "Preacher" or "100 Bullets," I'm starting something that I know has a finite amount of story to tell, and that's building to something. I just worked my way through David Lapham's entire 41-issue arc of "Stray Bullets." Meanwhile, my comic-book-crazy older son fell in love with Brian K. Vaughan's "Runaways," burning through the first eighteen issues in about a week. He was rabid for something to follow up with and decided he wanted to read "Y The Last Man." That's a heavy series in many ways, but one of the things that shaped who I am was that my parents put far less restrictions on what I could read than what I could watch,...

American Horror Story: Hotel is going to be very bloody this year, according to Sarah Paulson. "I think it's going to be a very bloody season," Paulson says in the behind-the-scenes video above. "It's dark. It's moody. It's hot!" So we're returning to the term we made up for this season: Crexy. Creepy sexy. Let's make it happen, people! With NBC having officially cancelled "Constantine," an initiative was quickly born entitled 'Save Constantine' that hoped to give the series adaptation of the DC Comics property another chance.
The show's executive producer Daniel Cerone has previously indicated that he has been desperately trying to save the show by moving it to either another network or a VOD service.
Today, "Arrow" star Stephen Amell lent his support to the cause saying that whomever picks up the canceled series, he plans to appear as Oliver Queen in a crossover episode that bridges the two properties. Whilst the show was at NBC, a crossover with The CW's "Arrow" was impossible. Depending upon where it lands though, such a crossover could take place.
Amell's comments also provoked a reaction from "Constantine" lead star Matt Ryan. Check out their exchange below:

Usually, the cancellation of a television show means that show is done and dusted. However, things seem to be a little different with NBC's Constantine. Though the network confirmed that it would not be producing another season of the comic book-based series, there's still talk of moving it to another network, or something of the sort. Now, Arrow star Stephen Amell has voiced his support for a continuation for Constantine, offering to guest star in an episode if it's picked up once again. #SaveConstantine -- Hey TV Networks / Netflix and the like... "RuPaul's Drag Race" is coming back March 2 with a judging panel consisting of veterans RuPaul and Michelle Visage and newcomers Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews. Exciting! Personally I will miss Santino Rice's snarly angst, but he's had a good run. More exciting: The announced guest judges this season are pretty thrilling. Kathy Griffin is back along with Olivia Newton-John, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and John Waters. Pretty damn smashing. But before season seven gets under way, let's make sure to proclaim which celebrities Still need to join RuPaul and criticize the fabulous dames of his runway. 1. Tim Gunn Here's my problem with Tim Gunn on "Project Runway": I truly believe he is holding back. He comes from a distinguished academic background and taught at Parsons for years. He knows biting, incisive criticism. Not that he goes easy on "Project Runway" contestants, but he could certainly be grimmer and more subversive.

Let's make it clear: barring a full court public relations press in the next couple of weeks, "Still Alice" is not going to be a Best Picture Oscar contender. It's a very respectable but not particularly remarkable movie that hits all the expected notes and nothing more. That said, the one element that most folks can agree on is the performance by Julianne Moore is one of her finest, and you can take a look today in a new trailer for the drama. Co-starring Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart and Kate Bosworth, the film follows a professor who seems to have it all —a loving family, a great marriage, a fantastic career— but is forced to watch it all slip away when she gets diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. "Still Alice" is now playing in limited release.

It's hard to believe that it's been nine years since "Sin City." So much has changed and we're worse off, in many ways, which makes the timing just right to slip back into Frank Miller's deliriously noir hell hole. If anything, "A Dame to Kill For" is bolder yet more cohesive and emotionally involving. It's certainly more immersive in 3-D and it's all green screen with no sets whatsoever. As a result, this dream-like world where "Shock Corridor" collides with "Kiss Me Deadly" seems even more tactile and surreal. "In the first one we only did a half-step between his book and the movie world," Rodriguez insists. "I didn't go all the way toward his book because I thought it would be too distracting to people, too much too soon. When it comes to a show like "The Vampire Diaries," nothing is off the table. Mixing together vampires and their many derivatives with werewolves, ghosts, witches, and more results in some seriously convoluted plot twists. Let's make it even more complicated, shall we? With Two Lies And A Truth, I requested they lie to my face about things that will happen in the upcoming sixth season. And then to sprinkle it with truth. Starz has ordered a 13-part anthology series based on the movie The Girlfriend Experience.
Steven Soderbergh's independent film originally launched in 2009, starring former porn star Sasha Grey as a high-priced $2,000-an-hour call girl in Manhattan who offers a 'girlfriend experience' to her clients.
Soderbergh and Philip Fleishman will executive produce the series. It will be written and directed by Lodge Kerrigan and Amy Seimetz.
"We're in an exciting period of auteur-driven television right now," said Soderbergh.
"When Philip floated the idea of a Girlfriend Experience-inspired television show, I thought, 'Let's make it a different woman in a different city, let's pair two independent writer/directors, one male and one female, and let them do the whole thing'."
The movie grossed nearly $700,000 (£410,000) at the domestic box office and just over $1m (£588,000) worldwide.

Comfortably eschewing his old flame of film for the return to one-time beau television Steven Soderbergh already has one show on Us cable channels, with period medical drama The Knick preparing to arrive on Cinemax later this year (the latest trailer is here). Now one of his films, The Girlfriend Experience, is set to become an anthology series over at rival outlet Starz.Based on the 2009 film that starred porn veteran Sasha Grey as a high-end Manhattan call girl juggling the challenges of her clients, her boyfriend and the rest of her life, the show will feature 13 episodes written and directed by indie filmmakers Lodge Kerrigan and Amy Seimetz, which will explore the world of modern courtesans of all stripes and types who provide their clients with more than just sex.Unlike The Knick, Soderbergh won’t be directing this one, but he will be crucially involved as an executive producer alongside Philip Fleishman.

Absolutely nobody suffers from road rage like Rusty Nail. In 2001's thriller Joy Ride, the growly-voiced trucker taught a trio of travelers a deadly lesson for pulling a prank on him. The direct-to-dvd sequel, Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead found Rusty targeting some youngsters who were stranded and stupidly "borrowed" a car from him. Now, the bloodiest instalment, Joy Ride 3: Roadkill, hits DVD today.
The movie follows a bunch of streetcar racers – Jordan <Jesse Hutch>, Jewel <Kirsten Prout>, Mickey <Ben Hollingsworth>, Alisa <Leela Savasta>, Austin <Gianpaolo Venuta> and Bobby <Jake Manley> - on the way to a rally. A little too cocky for their own good, they commit the ultimate driving sin against Rusty <Ken Kirzinger> and pay the price for their recklessness.
"They speed past him and Rusty takes exception to it," states Hollingsworth during a break on production. "He pulls out in front of them. They are hotshot kids in a new race car and they show him up and speed past him.

To be at all familiar with Kristen Stewart — she had a small role in some vampire movies, maybe you've seen them — is to know that she's not particularly comfortable in the spotlight. She's a kinetic speaker, elliptical and often self-deprecating, so perhaps it's no surprise that at 24, she's already making the move to the other side of the camera. As part of its ongoing Blank Check Series, the denim/lifestyle brand Buffalo David Bitton offered Stewart a modest-but-undisclosed amount of money to "embark on a new creative journey," which the...

My new favorite filmmaker is the American animator Jodie Mack. In 2012 I was in the audience at the Views from the Avant-Garde sidebar of the New York Film Festival and had the unexpected experience of dropping my jaw and having it remain fully in that position throughout the surface loveliness and aggregating intensity—both analytic and sensual—of Mack's lace flicker film Point de Gaze. Its young filmmaker has been making films since 2003—several of which are viewable on her website—with a flurrying productivity which belays the painstaking efforts taken to bring her animated films to life. The screening was the revelation of incredible talent, a moving effort of hands and mind, and it promised a great deal for the future.
That promise had already paid off in spades at the 2014 International Film Festival Rotterdam in January, which presented a program of Mack's recent short films not as a profile,...

With the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's Jaws coming up, Lego builder lizardman created this super cool Lego playset based on the classic movie. It features the deadly man-eating Shark, the Orca, and the three main characters from the film — Brody, Quint, and Hooper.
Jaws is one of my favorite films of all time, and it would be great if this playset was voted into existence. Let's make it happen, people! You can vote for the Lego Cuusoo project here.

The past month or so has been incredibly eventful for Adam Green's "Holliston." The show tragically lost one cast member, released Season 2 on Blu-ray, and then got the news that the network it airs on is shutting down...
Creator Adam Green and co-star Joe Lynch sat down with Dread Central recently for a massive interview all about "Holliston."
Show creator and star Adam Green talked about his love for the "Holliston" series. "It's my favorite thing I've ever done," Green said. "It's my best work to date, and I think a lot of the people involved in the show would say the same thing. If you like Season 1, I think Season 2 really blows it away. I think with any sitcom the second season is usually considered to be funnier and better than the first, mainly because you know the characters, you know the world, you know the tone. And...
