Jamie Clive Boyle is a film director, animator and cartoonist, renowned for founding Studio Maryoku and Studio Siroco. His directorial debut, 'Eternal Horizon', marked a pivotal moment in his career, as he deliberated between a future in Animation or Film. Ultimately, Jamie's passion for traditional animation prevailed, leading him to a temporary position at AngloCraft, where he is currently in March 2024 is dedicated to an upcoming extended-length film.
In 2019, Jamie embarked on his professional journey by self-teaching traditional animation techniques. Alongside Alfie Tanner, he co-founded Studio Maryoku. Reuniting with his long-time friend and now trusted producer, Harry Taylor, they produced 'Eternal Horizon' to life. Frequent collaborator Dan Guo composed an evocative score for the film within a mere month. Notably, the film served a dual purpose: a commercial venture and Jamie's final major student project. It garnered 150 views in its first month without any promotional efforts. Reflecting on the film's evolution, Harry Taylor described it as 'his baby film', which underwent extensive changes and adaptations within tight deadlines. The animation production, consisting of over 200 frames, was impressively completed in just two weeks. Following the transformation of Studio Maryoku into Studio Siroco, which later disbanded in 2024, Jamie explored various creative avenues within the animation and film industries. He pursued additional college animations but found them lacking in substance, prioritising assistance over storytelling by quote 'Was I making vanity or asking for help. I should have made a film with entertainment and imagination in mind'
