Jamie 'TBI Guy' Hatcher

Mr. Jamie R. Hatcher (TBI Guy) is a traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivor who is who is sensitive to the realities of disabilities and community awareness. His personal story is interesting, but his focus is on helping to educate the public, regarding the realities of being a TBI survivor and the nuances involved with same. His titles are both children's and adults. The children's titles focus on day-to-day life that brain-insult survivors encounter in approaching life. With a 115 IQ post-insult, J.R. has found the community-at-large often anticipates his being more able-bodied and while his recovery is remarkable and miraculous when paired to expected outcomes . . . the idiosyncrasies of a brain injury still rise to the surface. Onlookers do become confused in anticipating more and then not understanding a TBI. He hopes to provide quality illustrated titles for children to learn about those and gain greater insight and comprehension while also educating parents, teachers, and friends. TBI Guy has created five children's books with two published and three in development. Additionally, he is releasing an adult title, "Awakenings, New Beginnings, and Learnin' Lessons," which is co-authored by A. L. Brooks - MA, LCMNC-S, NCC.
As a published author, TBI Guy was introduced to the Faces of Rap Mothers Owner and Chairperson, Candy Strother DeVore-Mitchell who cast him for a role in the, "Faces of Rap Mothers Comedic Movie."
Currently, J.R. Hatcher resides in metropolitan Washington DC with his two long-haired chihuahuas and continues working on his books and is considering more acting opportunities into the future to continue identifying with the world-community regarding TBI survival and recovery.
