Drugs can be bad. Really bad. Especially when they're abused. Hell, even taking too much aspirin can be pretty bad for you. They can lead to addictive behavior, sickness, death, and of course hauntings of the shit-yer-pants type variety.

Surprise! There are more found footage frights on the way! This time the tale of a recovering addict inside a haunted house in the UK is ready to be told. Or discovered. Please lord, don't let this be another all in his head flick.
Director Sean J. Vincent explained it via his blog a while back and let his readers pick the artwork for the film, which you'll find below.
The Addicted, starring Jenny Gayner, is a "haunted house tale that revolves around recovering addicting David, a resident at The Manor rehabilitation unit in 1987, who comes under the twisted ‘care’ of clinical director Chris Hunter. Instead of nursing David to health, Hunter keeps him hooked before poisoning him with toxic heroin and leaving him horrifically scarred. Medical bastard. While the evil director is carrying on with his wife, David kills himself. Picking up 25 years later, Hunter's daughter, Nicole, an aspiring TV journo,...

Director Sean J. Vincent took to his official blog to host production diaries and to let his readers choose the official poster for his UK haunted The Addicted. Empire shares the winning poster that's posted inside. The site explains that "the haunted-house tale revolves around recovering addicting David, a resident at The Manor rehabilitation unit in 1987 who comes under the twisted care of clinical director Chris Hunter. Instead of nursing David to health, Hunter keeps him hooked, before poisoning him with toxic heroin and leaving him with horrifically scarred. Medical bastard. While the evil director is carrying on with his wife, David kills himself. Picking up 25 years later, Hunter's daughter Nicole, an aspiring TV journo, makes the not entirely sensible decision to spend the night at the now-derelict clinic, filming the place with her boyfriend." The only casting I could conjure up is Jenny Gayner.

Okay, perhaps not you you but one of our number, a member of the blazing creative hub that is the Empire forum - adman30 - has crafted this suitably spooky poster to upcoming Brit horror The Addicted. It's been handpicked by the production to become the film's official one-sheet. Take a bow that adman. The haunted-house tale it promotes revolves around recovering addicting David, a resident at The Manor rehabilitation unit in 1987 who comes under the twisted ‘care’ of clinical director Chris Hunter. Instead of nursing David to health, Hunter keeps him hooked, before poisoning him with toxic heroin and leaving him with horrifically scarred. Medical bastard. While the evil director is carrying on with his wife, David kills himself. Picking up 25 years later, Hunter's daughter Nicole, an aspiring TV journo, makes the not entirely sensible decision to spend the night at the now-derelict clinic, filming the place with her boyfriend.

For those who haven't drunk it or seen the breathless news reports, Four Loko is a 23.5 ounce, 12% alcohol-by-volume malt beverage with 135-milligrams of caffeine. It costs $2.50 and is widely known as "blackout in a can." Several colleges have banned the drink and many more are warning students of its consequences.
Now the government is getting involved. The Food and Drug Administration is reviewing whether such concoctions are safe. Senator Chuck Schumer has urged the FTC to investigate whether the colorful cans are intended to attract under-age drinkers. And the drink's maker, Phusion Projects, has come under fire from news outlets such as the New York Times to CBS, which labeled Four Loko "liquid cocaine."
Others might call it a good time.
The drink is the latest in a long line of fads bolstered in popularity by their obvious dangers. Ironically, the more the Fda, FTC, and Chuck Schumer object to its existence,...
