Had a UK number one hit in January 1989 with his version of the Gene
Pitney single, 'Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart'. The single also
featured additional lyrics from Pitney himself and remained in the
charts for three months.
He is currently recovering from injuries suffered in a
motorcycle accident in October 2004, and hopes to resume recording and
performance sometime in 2005. (December 2004)
He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2018 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to Arts and Culture. He is the singer and songwriter, musician and campaigner in London, England.
Met his co-founder of Soft Cell, David Ball, in 1978 while doing a fine arts course at Leeds Polytechnic.
