- Used to drive a Zamboni ice-resurfacing machine for a couple of hockey rinks during and after college. Players and coaches were often heard saying, "He makes the best sheet of ice in the state of MN".

- In 1994, Edward raised $88.5 million in a week to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA basketball team, preventing the team's move to New Orleans. He created and structured the whole deal and financial plan, pre-approved the deal with the NBA and participating banks, and tirelessly called and put together a group of investors who bought the team. Without Edward's ingenuity and perseverance, Minnesota would have lost its professional basketball team.
- He is a master of impersonations. He has impersonated Clint Eastwood, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Dean Martin, various Blues singers, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Stewart, and many more individuals. He has performed as Elvis singing Blue Suede Shoes (and other songs) in London, England; the Bahamas; and many other venues.
- Edward loves to fly airplanes. He first took the controls of a twin-engine private jet when he was only 9 years old, thanks to a willing pilot. He coaxed the pilot into letting him take the controls. He flew the jet straight for a bit, then decided to take a couple turns, promptly spilling the drinks of a couple passengers and ending his piloting for the day. He began pursuing his private pilot's license in 1985.

- Mr. Villaume successfully managed and invested money for high net-worth individuals as well as restructured and managed corporate retirement plans throughout the 1990s.
- Eddie V and five friends climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, reaching the summit (Uhuru Peak) on September 30, 2011. Kilimanjaro's highest point, Uhuru Peak, rises to an altitude of 5,895 m or 19,341 ft.

- Eddie lettered in five different sports in high school: football, hockey, basketball, tennis, and baseball. He played varsity beginning his sophomore year; junior year he had major knee surgery during hockey season and missed the baseball/tennis season.

- In 1994, Edward was approached with an idea for an after-school program by Rajiv Shah. The program would assist fourth graders (who were not at the fourth grade level of reading, writing, arithmetic, other learning/social skills) and stay with them through high school, adding a new fourth grade class each year. Edward loved the concept, immediately became involved, recruiting board members, created relationships with college and professional teams/athletes and the program, assisted in funding, became the founding Chairman of The Board, and more. In 2014, Athletes Committed to Educating Students (ACES) celebrated 20 years of helping children.
- By the age of 29, Mr. Villaume was invited to become a member of the Board of Directors for the Minneapolis Boys & Girls Club and the Minnesota Orchestral Association (the Board for the MN Orchestra). Edward was the youngest person to be elected to the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Orchestral Association, and the Boys & Girls Club.
- On April 19, 2016 Mr. Villaume was awarded his first U.S. Patent for his Bicycle Seat and Handlebar Mechanisms application. While recovering from one of his now seven (7) knee surgeries, Mr. Villaume envisioned a better system for the functions of stationary bicycle seats and handlebars to optimize the workout for each individual, allowing customization and movement of seats and handlebars while a person is peddling the stationary bicycle. So thanks to Mr. Villaume, no more hopping on and off the stationary bicycle to adjust the seat...just peddle away and adjust whenever you want, without stopping.
- Each time Edward would return home for a visit, his young nephews, nieces, and godchildren would always ask why he had to go back to California. Taking this to heart, Edward made the decision to return to his hometown in 2007 to be with his nephews, nieces, and godchildren as they grew-up. "Being there" for family and friends, especially the children and young adults, is what's most important for Edward. "They only grow-up once, and I didn't want to miss it," he states. He also says that he may return to California.
- In June of 2017, a Notice of Allowance for a U.S. Patent was given to Edward for his Programmable Noise Reducing, Deadening, and Cancellation Devices, Systems and Methods application. This is Mr. Villaume's second U.S. patent, and will issue soon.
- In August 2017, Mr. Villaume received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent Office for his Emergency Light Devices, Systems, and Methods patent application. This is his third U.S. Patent. It will be issuing soon.
- On November 28, 2017 Edward was awarded his third U.S. Patent for his Emergency Light Devices, Systems, and Methods.
- On October 10, 2017 Edward was awarded his second U.S. Patent for his Programmable Noise Reducing, Deadening, and Cancelation Devices, Systems and methods.
- On June 21, 2018 Edward received a Notice of Allowance for a U.S. Patent for his Programmable Noise Reducing, Deadening, and Cancellation Devices, Systems and Methods application. This is Mr. Villaume's fourth U.S. patent, and will issue soon.
- On October 2, 2018 Edward was issued his fourth U.S. Patent for his Programmable Noise Reducing, Deadening, and Cancellation Devices, Systems, and Methods.
- In March of 2019, a Notice of Allowance for a U.S. Patent was given to Edward for his Motor Vehicle Safe Driving & Operating Devices, Mechanisms, Systems, And Methods patent application. This is Mr. Villaume's fifth U.S. patent, and will issue soon.
- On July 31, 2019 Mr. Villaume was issued his fifth U.S. Patent for his Motor Vehicle Safe Driving & Operating Devices, Mechanisms, Systems, And Methods.
- Edward is working with his editor to complete the editing stage of his novel and move to publishing stage. (November 2020)
