Deadline reports on Lifetime’s Quarter 1: 2024 slate of original thrillers this afternoon, which promises fourteen brand new thrillers premiering here in the early months of the year.

2022 has been, yet again, another fantastic year for Dtv (or more accurately “direct to market”) movies. There have been some great films on VOD, streaming (yes I’m including streaming premieres this year too) and on digital so, as per previous years here on Nerdly, I’ve compiled a list of My personal top 10 of the best direct-to-market titles of the year, be they VOD, streaming or digital downloads. The only criteria is that we’ve covered the film here on Nerdly And I’ve seen the film myself. This list takes in all the films that never made it to cinemas with the list in order of release date not preference, with the month of release listed alongside each film. And man was this list Hard to cut down to just ten films… as it is each and every year!

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major storylines from the Season 1 finale of Fox’s Our Kind of People.
As Season 1 of Fox’s Our Kind of People comes to an end, answers have arrived regarding many of the show’s biggest mysteries. Mainly: What role did Teddy Franklin (Joe Morton) play in his former lover Eve’s downfall? It’s complicated.
In Tuesday night’s episode, “Kiss It Up To God,” Eve and Teddy’s love child Angela Vaughn (Yaya DaCosta) and her half-sister Leah Franklin Dupont (Nadine Ellis) teamed to get a confession from their father Teddy about a gun that connects them all to the events that took place at the 1984 Grand Illumination Ball that ended with Teddy’s brother Louis Franklin (B.J. Britt) dead, Leah’s mother Rose (Susan Spain) traumatized, and Eve arrested on a drug charge.
“I loved Eve, very deeply,” Teddy revealed in the finale.

Fans of “UnREAL” received quite the surprise invitation last week: not just one last trip to the “Everlasting” mansion — only three months after the Emmy-nominated drama ended its third season — but a new address. Instead airing weekly on Lifetime, the entire season is now streaming on Hulu.
With the release, “UnREAL’s” creators close the book on a fond memory. Not only did the series prove to be a crucial stepping stone in Lifetime’s quest to redefine its brand and invest in more challenging, quality fare, but when it originally premiered in June 2015, the pilot of “UnREAL” stood out for its freshness; it wasn’t content to introduce “women behaving badly” as its characters’ defining element, and instead crafted a whole tableau of complicated women rich with flaws and vulnerabilities.

Well it seems we finally have the answer to that age-old question: to be, or not to be? While people can argue over whether it has been "cancelled," the Being Mary Jane TV show is ending after four seasons on Bet. Deadline reports the Network has ordered a two-hour movie, which will serve as the Being Mary Jane TV series finale, when it airs in 2018. Airing on the Bet cable channel, Being Mary Jane revolves around the life of news anchor, Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union). Margaret Avery, Aaron D. Spears, Richard Brooks, Bj Britt Jr., Raven Goodwin, Richard Roundtree, Valarie Pettiford, Chike Okonkwo, and Michael Ealy also star. The cancellation or ending does not come as a huge shock. Originally, Bet wanted to shoot seasons four and five back-to-back. Gabrielle Union fought that though, on the grounds of break stipulations in her contract.

Pitch‘s Mark-Paul Gosselaar is staying in the Fox fold with a starring role in the network’s vampire-themed drama pilot The Passage, TVLine has learned.
Adapted from Justin Cronin’s popular book series, The Passage envisions a post-apocalyptic future where virus-infected vampires roam the earth, with human colonies banding together to survive. (That book was followed by 2012’s The Twelve and this year’s The City of Mirrors.) Fox bought the film rights to The Passage before it was even published, and a Twilight-like film series was planned for years, but now they’re opting to bring it to the small screen.

Unfortunately, the fate of Fox's freshman series, Pitch, is still up in the air.
It is arguably one of the best new series of the year, but it has not picked up the fan base and ratings that it deserves. It's a real shame.
Is television ready for a female-driven sports drama? I'd like to think so. Especially when that female is the talented Kylie Bunbury, and her co-star is Mark-Paul Gosselaar. They are just two of the reasons why this series deserves to be picked up.
It would be a travesty if we weren't graced with their talent in such a groundbreaking and inspiring series.

The Chekhov’s Gun principle tells us that every dramatic element in a story must be necessary. And ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gave us much food for thought this week, with the revelation that Dr. Fitz’s Project Looking Glass is a nearly complete doohickie that will allow Aida, an AI stuck in android form, to inhabit a fabricated flesh-and-blood vessel. One of the very best surprises of last night’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., titled No Regrets, was definitely seeing B.J. Britt again. Even though we had an unexpected tragic ending to the episode, seeing Antoine “Tripp” Triplett alive and well was nothing short of incredible. He used to be one of my favorites back in Season 2 and I was just as devastated as Skye was when he died. In another solid episode, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. delivered a compelling story and I absolutely love how they are developing the Framework narrative. It gives the actors a chance to stretch out...read more...

Warning: The following contain major spoilers from the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you haven't watched yet, you might consider bookmarking this page and returning once you have. Proceed with caution. The Framework has claimed its first victim. In tonight's new episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Patriot himself, Jeffrey Mace went out in a blaze of glory. While attempting to rescue a room full of abducted children from their Hydra brainwashing alongside Coulson (Clark Gregg), Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), Ward (Brett Dalton) and—shocker of all shockers—a Framework resurrected Tripp (B.J. Britt, making his first appearance since being killed off in 2014), May (Ming-Na Wen)...

It was another explosive episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., both literally and emotionally.
Blindsiding audiences with a startling reveal about one character and the shocking death of another (not to mention the resurrection of an old favorite!), the show continues to go in wholly unexpected directions – so unexpected that, for some of the team, I'm not sure there's a way back.
On Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Episode 18, Daisy and Simmons wrestled with the revelation that the Fitz they knew and loved in the real world was capable of becoming a cold-blooded killer in the Framework.
Aida's intention for the Framework was a world without regrets, with everyone getting everything they had ever wanted. But, why would this turn good-natured Fitz into the kind of man who could pull a trigger on a woman point-blank?
One person in your life, one sentence, has the power to change you forever.

Just weeks after the alt-world simulation created by an out-of-control Aida (Mallory Jansen) resurrected Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and made him Daisy's (Chloe Bennet) boyfriend on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we were treated to another unexpected reunion when Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mace (Jason O'Mara) rescued none other than Antoine Triplett (B.J. To best understand the jubilation expressed over the new black “Bachelorette” Rachel Lindsay, one need only watch the pilot of HBO’s “Insecure.”

For the first time in 15 years and 33 seasons, Bachelor Nation will finally get to cheer on an African-American contestant as they attempt to find love on national TV.
During Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, ABC announced that Rachel Lindsay, a 31-year-old lawyer from Dallas, Texas, has been cast as The Bachelorette for season 13. She's technically one of the final four ladies vying for Nick Viall's heart on season 21 of The Bachelor, which is currently airing on the network, but with this announcement, we now know she's not the 36-year-old's final pick (it's down to Corinne, Raven and Vanessa).

Pitch is nearing its finale and is in no way losing momentum!
Between the tug-of-war between Amelia and Will over Ginny, and the wicked game of chess between Charlie, Oscar, and Mike, the only shortage of games being played on Pitch Season 1 Episode 8 was the actual delayed baseball game!
Then it all came crashing down with a single word.
I'm really bummed about Will Baker. He was such a supportive and sweet brother when we first saw him on Pitch Season 1 Episode 2. He did the responsible thing and handed the reigns over to Amelia, for the sake of his sister's career.
What the hell happened?
I welcome seeing B.J. Britt on my screen any chance I get, but was so disappointed to see how Will turned out. I just wanted her to have one family member she could really count on. Jeebus, her father's dead, and she and...
