The song is about women empowerment and features Lakshmi and her daughter, Nirvana in it. Telusa Telusa will be attached with the rolling credits of the film.
Lakshmi said, “My daughter features in the song, she has done a few cameos here and there with my brother Manoj but this is her first with me. She is not shy in front of the camera. What is more empowering than you are making a song on women’s empowerment and you have your girl with you. When she grows up and sees this, she would know that I meant this. The beauty of this song is that we only speak of women empowerment and not a...

MollywoodThe film has Resul Pookutty in the lead role of a sound engineer working hard to record all the sounds at the Thrissur Pooram.Digital NativeMalayalam mega star Mammootty will be releasing the audio of The Sound Story, a multilingual film made specifically for the hearing impaired. The audio launch event is scheduled to happen on January 15 at 6:30 pm at the Thiruvambady Convention Centre in Thrissur. To be released in various languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, the film has the Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty in the lead role. Apparently, he will be playing himself in the movie. According to sources in the know, the film is about a sound engineer working hard to record all the sounds at the Thrissur Pooram. How he goes about it and whether he succeeds in his endeavour forms the crux of the story. The Sound Story is produced by Rajeev Panakal under his banner Palm Stone Multimedia. Written and directed by Prasad Prabhakar, the film’s music has been composed by Rahul Raj. Veteran lyricist Vairamuthu had penned the lyrics for the Tamil version and debutant Fouzia Abubacker has written the Hindi lyrics. The English lines in some of the songs have been penned by Sunitha Sarathy. The audio rights have been acquired by Sony Music. According to reports, the film went into a four-month long pre-production to capture the various sounds at the Thrissur Pooram. Over 80 technicians from India and Hollywood have worked hard to capture the sounds and succeeded at it. Speaking about his role, Resul had said earlier, “I don’t play a typical hero in this film. My real life dream, for a long time, was to record the sounds of the Pooram festival live. This story is about a sound designer who intends to do that and I play that central character. The magnitude and magic of Pooram are very difficult to explain in words and more than 300 musicians play in the festival.” Content provided by Digital Native.

Compared with the hype surrounding Shahrukh Khan’s Ra.One, his second and last release for the 2011, Don 2: The Chase Continues (Don 2) makes its entry with a whisper rather than bang. While Don: The Chase Begins Again (Don 1) had immense pressure on the makers to aesthetically re-create the yesteryear favourite, the sequel has not been subject to such expectations. Don 2 is an entirely new and different concept, opening the makers to a goldmine of creative opportunities. Arguably, this applies to the music directors, Shankar-Eshaan-Loy (Sel), more so than the reminder of the film’s cast and crew.
Don 2 sees Sel reprise their role as music directors while Javed Akhtar reprises his as lyricist. No surprises there as all Excel Entertainment ventures have featured the lyrical and musical combination of Sel and Javed Akhtar exclusively since their advent in 1999. The album comprises of 11 tracks and...
