- Amy Williams was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 12, 1963. At the age of 16, Amy had been writing songs for 6 years and left home to pursue a career as a singer song writer. By the age of 21 she was playing the acoustic club scene with a large following. Her recordings featured performances by Michael McDonald, Benmont Tench, Russ Kunkel and Leland Sklar. She was given excellent reviews by the L.A. Times and Los Angeles Magizane. She was said to have re-discovered folk music with social and political commentary and, of course love, songs. - Amye is currently living in Southern California, on a small ranch with her husband, three daughters, two Golden Retrievers, five cats and three chinchillas. An environmental activist, once managed by Danny Goldberg she was very involved with the ACLU. She is recording a contemporary Christian album. She is working closely with her two youngest daughters who are fourth generation actresses and musicians. They are the grand daughters of five time Academy Award-winning film composer John Williams. The two youngest Williams grandchildren are also creating much interest as they write and and perform their own songs.
