Duc Luu

Born in Vietnam and raised in California. After receiving a bachelor's
degree in economics and theater studies at Yale University, Duc went on
to become one of the youngest students to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts
in acting at the Yale School of Drama. He has acted in over a dozen
shows playing such roles as Gaunt in Richard II, Gonzalo in The
Tempest, Guildenstern in Hamlet, Cleon in Pericles, and Narcissus in
Polaroid Stories. Other shows of note include Once Upon a Mattress, The
Pirates of Penzeance, In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe, Becket,
and Macbeth. Duc was part of the original cast of the American stage
premiere of The Joy Luck Club, which went onto Off-Broadway, New York.
Duc has also served as artistic director for IndepenDance, a touring
dance company and as creative consultant for the prestigious lounge
Club ING (formerly known as Manhattan) where he was events promoter and
director, copywriter, and interior designer. He produced and directed a
month-long event sponsored by Chivas Regal and Club ING working upon
the "When You Know" Chivas Regal tagline to create a cosmopolitan
experience sending the 900 plus party guests through exotic locations
such as 20th century Paris and classical Morocco. He directed the
acclaimed Hong Kong premiere of Glengarry Glen Ross in 2003. Duc has
played Master of Ceremonies at private functions for such luminaries as
the Von Furstenburgs and Prince Pavlos of Greece and he is also a guest
lecturer of public speaking at Saint Joseph's College.
