John Yaworsky is an award-winning creative producer director with more than 20 years of traditional and new media production experience on feature films, commercials, corporate communications, online education and documentaries.
Most recently John created the media strategy and produced and directed 1000 video pieces for 70 online courses for Johns Hopkins and Georgetown Universities.
John has also produced for British Channel Four, Japanese NHK, German ZDF, PBS and has consulted, produced and directed projects for major corporations including Abbott, Amgen, Boeing, CDW, Dover, Groupon, Hospira and NetEase.
John was the founder and executive producer of Art + Science Films and One World Productions in Chicago and produced the Chicago Film Critics Awards for seven years. His current companies are two plus films and Nimble Digital Media.
John works in the community as a producer and media consultant for public interest groups and non-profits. As a member and mentor at 1871 and mentor at 2112 he helps organizations with marketing and media strategy. He was President of the Board for Living Earth Television and served on The New Ideas Initiative, The Illinois Council for the Prevention of Violence and was an adjunct professor teaching Digital Cinema at DePaul University.
John has earned numerous awards including a local Emmy, three Tellys, the Kodak Award, a Cine Golden Eagle as well as Best Feature and Audience Award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival and Tribeca Independent Features Festival.
