Exclusive: Fremantle is taking a Love is Blind-esque Danish format to the London TV Screenings in which singletons try to find love using just sight and sound.
Fremantle label Strong has produced Sense of Attraction and the show will be shopped to potential buyers in the capital in a fortnight’s time.
In Sense of Attraction, singletons try to find true love using only two senses. But they can’t use the two senses at the same time, so when they see each other they can’t speak and when they speak they can’t see one another.
The show has shades of Netflix hit Love is Blind, in which single men and women become engaged before they have even seen each other. That smash format has aired for six seasons on Netflix and been remade in a number of territories.

Rtl Group-owned super indie Fremantle is bringing a brace of new and upbeat formats to this year’s London TV Screenings, where they will join a catalog which includes some of the biggest properties in the world, such as “Got Talent,” “Farmer Wants a Wife” or “Family Feud.”

Their roles were taken over by Banks, who had formerly hosted “America’s Next Top Model.” At the time, ABC said in a statement that the series would embark on a “new creative direction.”

“Dancing with the Stars” has a new home — Disney+ — but there is no word yet on if there will be a new host. Asked about a recent report in The Sun that Tyra Banks will be leaving the show, Artem Chigvintsev says they’re all Jon Snow: They know nothing.
“As far as the show goes, the only information we received [about] it is we are going to be on a different platform, but as far as like, who’s going to be part of it and even ourselves as dancers, I’m not sure,” he told Us Weekly.
The pro believes Season 31 decisions, including whether he’d be back, will be made by August, which lines up historically as the series typically announces the cast in late August or early September. Chigvintsev was notoriously dropped in August 2019 before Season 28 along with Sharna Burgess. And Banks herself was announced as the...

“Dancing with the Stars” fans aren’t the only ones who don’t think Tyra Banks is best fit to host the show. During an appearance on Wednesday’s David Yontef‘s “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast (watch below), former “Dancing” winner and host Brooke Burke was asked about her thoughts on the current “Dancing” host — and she did not hold back.
“She’s a diva. Everybody knows she’s a diva. There’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not saying anything bad about her — be a diva,” Burke said. “[But] it’s not the place to be a diva. Your pros are the diva, your winner, your perfect 10 score dancer who’s never done it — that defines ‘diva’ in the ballroom. So I just think it wasn’t embraced.”

Tom Bergeron is opening up to the recent shake-up behind-the-scenes at Dancing With the Stars.
Deadline recently reported that Executive Producer, Andrew Llinares had stepped down from the show after five seasons.
The hit ABC reality series has experienced many changes while Andrew was in power, including the firings of hosts Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
A fan asked Bergeron his thoughts on Andrew exiting the series, and he elicited the following response via Twitter:
Karma's a bitch!
The post was accompanied by a wink emoji.
Bergeron has opened up about his firing several times since it all played out in 2019.
He spent 14 years as a host, so it's only natural to have thoughts about the series.
Bergeron spoke with the late Bob Saget on his podcast, Bob Saget's Here for You, and opened up about the events leading up to his exit, including the addition of Sean Spicer as a contestant.

Tom Bergeron’s leaving it all on the dance floor. After it was revealed this week that Dancing With the Stars executive producer Andrew Llinares is leaving the show after five seasons, fans turned to the former host for his reaction — and Bergeron didn’t mince words. When one Twitter user asked Bergeron how he felt about Llinares’ exit, the former host replied, “Karma’s a bitch.” Llinares came to Dancing With the Stars in 2018, just before Season 26 — the all-athletes season — kicked off. He was the one who decided to replace Bergeron and Erin Andrews with Tyra Banks as a host in Season 29, even though Bergeron had been with the show from the beginning of its run on ABC. The network is reportedly already looking for Llinares’ replacement. Season 31 has not yet been confirmed. Exclusive: The Dancing with the Stars ballroom is about to get another makeover: Andrew Llinares is out as executive producer of Dancing with the Stars.
Though the show has yet to receive an official greenlight for the 31st season, Deadline hears that DWTS is already looking for Llinares’ replacement.
Llinares joined DWTS in 2018 ahead of the all-athletes Season 26 but parted ways after season 30, which featured one of the most exciting finales in some time. Though JoJo Siwa was favored to win, Iman Shumpert became the first-ever NBA winner of the mirror ball trophy. Yet the season was still down 18 percent in viewers (6 million versus 7.3 million) and 25 percent in adults 18-49 (.9 versus 1.2) versus the prior year.

Fans may still be reeling from Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews‘ dismissal from “Dancing with the Stars” last year, but the Og host was not surprised at all — in fact, he knew it was coming.

“Dancing with the Stars” will mark its landmark 30th season this fall with something they’ve never done before: a same-sex couple.
JoJo Siwa, who along with Olympic champion Suni Lee will be one of the contestants this season, will be partnered with a female pro, to be revealed live on the premiere on Monday, Sept. 20, executive producer Andrew Llinares said Thursday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “We are so, so excited that JoJo is doing this and for everyone to experience this on the show,” Llinares said.
Siwa, who said that she’d love to be paired with Lindsay Arnold, Jenna Johnson or Britt Stewart, shared that she got an email from ABC asking if she’d like a male partner or a female partner. The 18-year-old, who came out as pansexual in April, opted for the latter and is excited to break down barriers for the LGBTQ community.

Dancing with the Stars is set to hit a major milestone – a 30th season.
The dancing competition, which is based on the British format Strictly Come Dancing, has been renewed by ABC and will return next year.
Host Tyra Banks, who joined last year, replacing Tom Bergeron last season, and judges Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli all are expected to return.
Hough joined last season, essentially replacing Brit Goodman, who was forced to sit out most of the season due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. He still appeared in a number of pre-recorded video segments and the hope is that he will be able to travel to the States later this year as long as the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
Dancing with the Stars is produced by BBC Studios’ Los Angeles production arm. Andrew Llinares and Banks are executive producers. It is expected to return next fall.

You may be clamoring for Tom Bergeron to return to “Dancing with the Stars,” but that, sadly, is just a pipe dream.
“When people say, “I’m not gonna watch until you’re back,” I say, “Well, there’s really no ‘until’ here,” the former host told “TV Guide Magazine.” “This train has left the station.”
The Emmy winner “appreciate the sentiment,” but he also doesn’t need fans to boycott the series on his behalf. “I don’t hold it against anybody if they [watch],” he added.
“Dancing” fired Bergeron, who hosted for 28 seasons, and Erin Andrews in July and hired Tyra Banks as host and executive producer, shocking fans everywhere. Executive producer and showrunner Andrew Llinares defended the switch, saying the long-running show, which wrapped its 29th season last month, needed to evolve and stay fresh.

Tom Bergeron will not return to Dancing With the Stars.
The beloved host, who was fired alongside Erin Andrews earlier this year, has explained that a triumphant return to the series is not happening.
Bergeron, who hosted 28 seasons of the series, opened up to TV Guide Magazine about not returning in any capacity.
"When people say, 'I'm not gonna watch until you're back,' I say, 'Well, there's really no 'until' here,'" Bergeron explained. "This train has left the station."
He went on to say that he holds no ill will towards the fans that continue to watch the show with new host Tyra Banks.
"I appreciate the sentiment," Bergeron shared. "[But] I don't hold it against anybody if they [watch]."

The beloved host, who was fired alongside Erin Andrews earlier this year, has explained that a triumphant return to the series is not happening.
Bergeron, who hosted 28 seasons of the series, opened up to TV Guide Magazine about not returning in any capacity.

You may miss Tom Bergeron dearly on “Dancing with the Stars,” but the former host has very much moved on from his old gig.
During an appearance on John Melendez‘s “The Stuttering John Podcast” (watch below), Bergeron was asked if he misses the show he spent 15 years and 28 seasons hosting. “No,” Bergeron emphatically replied without skipping a beat. “No, because it started changing early in 2018. There were staff changes and, I think, philosophical changes about how to do the show. So I miss the earlier years. I miss up until that point when it had a different vibe, a different feel. No, I’m kind of digging this time off and I’m quite capable of being very lazy.”
Any “Dancing” fan knows that 2018 was an inflection point in “Dancing’s” run. That was, as of now, the final time the series had a spring season, which was the ill-advised four-week “Athletes” installment.

Make your vote count this election — and on “Dancing with the Stars.” The show will have a double elimination on Monday, Nov. 2, aka Election Day eve.
ABC is dubbing the episode “Double Elimination Night — Use Your Vote!”, encouraging fans to vote for their faves to avoid the feared double axing and, oh yeah, for the the future of our country. After next week’s episode, there will be nine couples left, so we’ll get down to seven couples by the end of the Nov. 2 episode.

The episode will presumably be theme-less — unless you count double elimination as a theme — as executive producer and showrunner Andrew Llinares has previously said that “Dancing” will do theme nights every other week. The Oct. 26 episode is Villains Night, which would make Nov. 9 the next theme night. Tyra Banks mentioned Villains Night on Monday’s episode,...

“Dancing with the Stars” tapping Tyra Banks as host hasn’t exactly gone over well with longtime fans who are upset over Tom Bergeron‘s and Erin Andrews‘ dismissals, but Carrie Ann Inaba is fully behind the new energy the supermodel brings to the show.
“I mean, it’s been controversial, yes — let’s just say it — it has been,” Inaba told “Us Weekly.” “But what I think is that she has an excitement to her that is sort of hard to put words to. That’s what makes people want to tune in. And she’s so passionate about what she does, and I’m loving that she’s bringing this fashion game to the show.”
That does not mean Inaba isn’t feeling Bergeron’s and Andrews’ absences. “I miss Tom and Erin, seeing them, of course, because we’re like family. I don’t get to see them every week,...

“I mean, it made things interesting,” says Cordell Martin about the surprise ending on “Dancing with the Stars” during “Top 13” night. The person eliminated wasn’t surprising (many of us had predicted it would be Anne Heche), but an error caused the wrong bottom two to be named by host Tyra Banks. Martin discussed that and more with me and Jeffrey Kare in our video slugfest about this week’s show. Watch it above.

“Going into this week I was pretty sure it was going to be [Monica Aldama] and Anne in the bottom two,” Martin explains. But then Aldama was announced as safe and Heche was revealed to be in the bottom two with football pro Vernon Davis, while Chrishell Stause was still on stage waiting to hear her results.

The results clusterf— on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” was awkward all around, but Bruno Tonioli says it did not have any bearing on his decision on who to send home.
“Not at all because we don’t know either,” the judge told “Extra” when asked (watch above). “There is this moment of, ‘Ok, what’s going on?’ Ultimately, we make our decision based on who the bottom two are. We were waiting as well as anyone else. ‘Hold on, there’s three people here. What is going on?'”
Tyra Banks had incorrectly declared Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy as safe when they were in fact in the bottom two along with Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe. The error was realized when she announced the wrong bottom two from the cards she was given while three couples were still on the stage. “Dancing” executive producer and showrunner Andrew Llinares...

“Dancing with the Stars” showrunner and executive producer Andrew Llinares wants everyone to know that Monday’s elimination gaffe was not Tyra Banks‘ fault at all.
“I just want to be really clear, this was not Tyra’s fault,” Llinares told “Entertainment Tonight.” “It was a behind-the-scenes issue.”
During Monday’s results, Banks called Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy safe, and then said the bottom two couples were Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe, and Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd, who were on stage with a third pair, Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko. The new host then announced that there had been an “error in the control room” because Aldama and Chmerkovskiy were actually in the bottom two with Heche and Motsepe, and asked for the duo to return to the stage, where the judges eliminated Heche and Motsepe.
See So, uh, what the hell happened with that awkward ‘Dancing with the Stars’ elimination snafu?...

“Dancing with the Stars” had its first theme night, Disney Night, of the season on Week 3, and you can bet there’ll be more where that came from. During ABC’s “VirtuFALL” virtual panel for the show on Wednesday, showrunner and executive producer Andrew Llinares revealed that there will be theme nights every other week and shared two of them: Oct. 12 will be ’80s Night and Oct. 26 is Villains Night.
“We are super excited about, a bit of ’80s — ’80s music, ’80s fashion, ’80s movies — just the, kind of, real ’80s explosion, which I think will be really, really fun. I know all of the celebs are super excited about it,” Llinares said. “And the next one after that falls on Halloween night, on October the 26th, and we are actually doing a villains night on Halloween night where everyone takes on a, kind of, famous fictional villain and plays homage to that villain.
