DC’s Legends of Tomorrow didn’t start off being an off-the-wall ensemble, but as the various actors’ comedic talents lightened the dire circumstances, the producers pivoted and leaned into the absurdity. As a result, it became one of the freshest concepts on the CW, super-heroic action without as much angst (or shadow). When it worked, it was very entertaining but that came sporadically, oftentimes getting silly when they needed more restraint.
Still, the lovable ever-changing band of heroes has endured through seven seasons and unlike many shows, ended on a high note. All thirteen episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Seventh and Final Season can be enjoyed on the Blu-ray box set from Warner Home Entertainment.
When last we left our stalwart misfits, a Waverider popped into the sky and destroyed the Waverider they were using. Now stranded in 1925, they have to adapt and find a way home.

Behrad posing as his psychopathic “robo-clone” required a bit of rehearsal, as revealed in this deleted scene from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s seventh and final season.
In the clip above — from Season 7’s 11th episode, “Rage Against the Machines” — Behrad (played by Shayan Sobhian) is getting ready to impersonate his robot clone and board the Waverider, with the intention of luring the other robo-clones into entering the mansion.

The waverider is being grounded for good.
Legends of Tomorrow has been canceled after seven seasons at The CW.
Co-showrunner Keto Shimizu took to social media on Friday night to reveal the sad news.
“Well, folks. It’s been an incredible run. However, the CW has let us know that there will be no Season 8 of Legends of Tomorrow," the tweet reads.
"We are heartbroken, but also immensely grateful for the amazing work our cast, crew, and writers have contributed to the little show that could.”
Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 averaged 528,000 viewers and a 0.09 rating in the demo, up year-to-year.
With a week of DVR viewing factored in, the Arrowverse series builds to 860,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating.
The series wrapped its run back in March, and unfortunately, there was no closure for fans, meaning that the best we can hope for is a wrap-up as part of a crossover.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Season 7 finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, “Knocked Down, Knocked Up.” And if that title doesn’t clue you into at least one development, you might want to go back in time to see where you lost your way.] The team said goodbye to Season 7 tonight in an hour that also saw them losing a beloved member and learning that a teeny-tiny one might be joining them, via an unexpectedly expectant Sara (Caity Lotz). In addition, there was the debut of Scrubs vet Donald Faison as DC Comics’ Booster Gold, a resolution to the Good-vs.-Evil Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton) saga, a romantic rescue during World War 1 for Gwyn (Matt Ryan), and, in the episode’s final seconds, a raid on the Waverider by some Time Bureau types hunting down our band of history-tinkering misfits. Should they get an eighth-season renewal, showrunner Phil Klemmer has big plans for their futures that ...

Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 Episode 11
It’s hard to put your finger on exactly why the seventh season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is so much better than the rest. The cast and crew are mostly the same core that have been on the show for the last couple of seasons. This season isn’t substantially shorter than the rest, so it’s not like there’s a lot of fat being trimmed. And the stories are every bit as ridiculous as this show has ever had. But there’s something about “Rage Against the Machines” that I think is very telling.
Everyone on this show is having a damn blast.
Granted, there are a lot fewer people at the end of this week’s episode than at the beginning. By my count, we’re down everyone in the Fixed Point, Thawne,...

DC's Legends of Tomorrow is making some changes as it looks toward Season 7.
The cast - including Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan, Olivia Swann, Adam Tsekhman, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez, and Matt Ryan - plus executive producers/co-showrunners Keto Shimizu and Phil Klemmer appeared at a Legends panel at Comic Con@Home to discuss the series.
Series star Caity Lotz introduced the panel with a sneak peek at a trailer that featured an exclusive look at the remainder of the show's sixth season.
Phil Klemmer revealed that "while John Constantine's arc on the show is coming to an end in season six, Matt Ryan's journey with the Legends is not over."
In season seven, Ryan will be back as a series regular, and he will play a new original role: Dr. Gwyn Davies, an eccentric scientist from the early 20th century who might be the team's only hope next season.

It wouldn't be an Arrowverse wedding without a nefarious villain crashing the ceremony with some terrifying friends. So naturally, the long-awaited Avalance wedding in "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," can't go off without a hitch.
Series star Caity Lotz kicked off the show's Comic Con at Home panel on Sunday with a new trailer for the back half of Season 6. And as Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe begin exchanging their vows -- "co-captains forever baby!" -- the season's big bad Bishop returned, sending in some wedding crashers.
"It's gonna be you and me for all eternity, Sara Lance," he threatens. Of course, Sara Lance is nothing if not tough, even if she has been abducted by aliens (again). From there, more classic "Legends" shenanigans ensue, including extradimensional bowling, board games, aliens, weddings, magic mushrooms, murder mysteries and more.
You can watch the full trailer via the video above.

The Legends better keep the Waverider gassed up and ready to go. The CW has renewed the DC's Legends of Tomorrow TV series for a seventh year, which will air as part of the 2021-22 television season (September 2021 through August 2022).
The sixth season will air at some point during the current 2020-21 season. According to a now-deleted Instagram post from Dominic Purcell, there will be 14 episodes. Filming reportedly began in October and is expected to finish in May. Given the uncertainty of the current pandemic, it's conceivable that the cast and crew may keep working and bank some season seven episodes.

Chicago P.D.’s Lisseth Chavez is set as a new series regular in the upcoming sixth season of season 6 of the CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The Warner Bros. TV-produced superhero drama moved in to cast Chavez shortly after she became available following a season-long stint as a series regular on NBC’s Chicago P.D.
Chavez will play Esperanza “Spooner” Cruz. Tough and self-sufficient, Spooner Cruz lives off the grid, devising ingenious tech for the detection of — and defense against — space aliens. And while some might call her paranoid, she calls it being prepared. A survivor of a childhood alien encounter, Spooner now believes she has the ability to communicate telepathically with aliens — making her the perfect recruit for Waverider captains Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and the Legends who, in season six, will be hunting down extraterrestrials who have been displaced throughout history.

Speed and star-power: Those are the two clear goals for the DC Fandome virtual event on Aug. 22, which released its full schedule Friday.
Over 100 hours of content stretching across the film, TV and comic book properties from DC Entertainment will unfold over a 24-hour period on the Saturday event, including panels featuring the filmmakers and casts of “The Batman,” “Wonder Woman 1984,” “The Suicide Squad” and the Snyder Cut of “Justice League,” and the casts of TV series including “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Batwoman,” “Black Lightning” and “The Flash.”
Most of those panels, however, will run just 15 to 30 minutes in length. The panel for the upcoming feature film version of “The Flash,” with filmmakers Andy and Barbara Muschietti, star Ezra Miller, and screenwriter Christina Hodson, will clock in at a speedy 10 minutes. The truth, albeit a suspected (and logical) one, is finally out:
The Legends of Tomorrow… are, as Jax put it, “the opposite of legends.” Meaning, the eight of ’em were recruited by Time Master Rip Hunter (Doctor Who‘s Arthur Darvill) because the dent they leave on history will be so infinitesimal, they’re meaningless to the future timeline — and thus are expendable, should the mission go sideways.
“That was always the design [of the show],” says exec producer Marc Guggenheim — albeit at one point with a tiiiiiny tweak.
“We were planning on revealing that secret to the team at the end of...

Director: Johannes Roberts. Writers: Noel Clarke, Davie Fairbanks and Marc Small. Cast: Noel Clarke, Colin O'Donoghue, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Laura Haddock, Jamie Thomas King, Alex Price, Ned Dennehy, Geoff Bell, Ruth Gemmell, Davie Fairbanks, and Amy Pemberton. Storage 24 is a small sci-fi thriller? from the United Kingdom. Written partially by Noel Clarke of Kidulthood, this film never steps out of a predictable framework. Perhaps, the one shooting location stops this film from finding true heights. Whatever the case, eighty minutes of cat and mouse interchange is not enough to recommend Storage 24 to many. Noel Clarke writes an interesting sub-plot involving infidelity, but he also writes his own character, Charlie, much like a shining white knight. The film and this character are hard to tolerate. Creature feature film fans will be able to tell how this film will play out. An alien crash lands next to a storage facility. Once on the ground,...

So here we have one of those rare Companion Chronicle stories with more than two actors, and while, as is frequently the case, only one of the actors has actually been on the TV series, in this case that actor is Sylvester McCoy, playing the Seventh Doctor. Yes, for only the third time in seven seasons, we have one of the Doctors actually acting alongside the companions. It’s a good thing.
Now this story ties in extensively with the recent “And Trilogy” monthly releases (“Protect and Survive”, “Black and White”, “Gods and Monsters). It features Sally Morgan (Amy Pemberton) and Lysandra Aristedes (Maggie O’Neill), narrating a story about their time with the Doctor, before they met up with Ace and Hex.
In said story, they attempt to infiltrate a train under the control of the Forge; a train which is...

Oh, those mad geniuses who write for Big Finish. Back in 2001, they released a Sixth Doctor audio story called “Project: Twilight”, which introduced the Forge and its master, Nimrod, as well as a young, often crying woman named Cassie (appropriately for the title, it also brought vampires back to the Who universe). This was a good, solid story (that I only listened to for the first time this last week), and it seemed fairly stand-alone. It wasn’t. It turned out to be a part of a huge arc that spanned the Sixth and Seventh Doctor’s (Sylvester McCoy) eras and had a direct impact on Seventh Doctor companion, Hex (Philip Olivier). The full scale of that impact finally comes home to roost in this story, which also seems to be a follow-up to the 1989 TV episode, “The Curse of Fenric”.

So basically this is “Doctor Who does Beowulf with special guest star Roger from American Dad!” That it does so in a very good, entertaining fashion is kind of a given, seeing as this is something from Big Finish. But it is not without problems.
First, this story, far more than most from Big Finish, really relies on you knowing what’s gone before. You don’t have to have listened to the three prior stories, “Project: Destiny”, “The House of Blue Fire” and “Protect and Survive”, but if you haven’t you’re going to be desperately confused. You’ll have no idea who Sally Morgan (Amy Pemberton) and Lysandra Aristedes (Maggie O’Neill) are, for example (you might not even know who Hex (Phillip Olivier) is, if you haven’t heard any of the audios). You won’t know of their past,...

Universal and Unstoppable Entertainment have revealed the first look trailer for the new Johannes Roberts ('F') helmed Brit sci-fi horror 'Storage 24'. The movie penned by writer and star Noel Clarke ('Kidulthood', 'Doghouse') is set in a storage building when a military cargo plane crashes and unleashes its classified contents into London. The trailer, which echoes elements of Brit comedy horror 'Attack the Block', looks pretty good and ensures that is doesn't reveal too much about the 'creatures' that the surviving gang are attempting to escape. 'Storage 24' also stars Colin O'Donoghue, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Laura Haddock -below ('The Inbetweeners Movie'), Jamie Thomas King, Alex Price, Ned Dennehy, Geoff Bell, Ruth Gemmell, Davie Fairbanks and Amy Pemberton. Brit director Johannes Roberts responsible for after school-based thriller 'F' is hard at work on the post-production of his new sci-fi horror 'Storage 24'. The new flick was penned by its star Noel Clarke ('Kidulthood', '4.3.2.1') and is set to hit UK theatres next June. Personally I don't really rate Clarke as an actor but he's a definite up and coming talent when it comes to both writing and directing. Colin O'Donoghue, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, the sexy Laura Haddock -below ('The Inbetweeners Movie'), Jamie Thomas King, Alex Price, Ned Dennehy, Geoff Bell, Ruth Gemmell, Davie Fairbanks and Amy Pemberton all co-star. Shayne Ward has admitted that he thinks his Irish blood will help him outshine Tom Cruise in his new role in Rock Of Ages.
The former X Factor winner – who was recently dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco – will portray bad boy Stacee Jaxx in the West End musical, while Hollywood actor Cruise will take on the role for the upcoming movie version, due for release in 2012.
In an interview with The Express and Star, the 26 year old hunk was asked if he could give it more attitude than Tom, to which he responded:
“Of course, yeah! It’s the Irish in me that makes me a bad-ass I saw a great picture of him recently playing Stacee Jaxx. It’s going to be fun to see his take on it.
“But he’s a great actor. So I’m just going to be who I think Stacee Jaxx is.
