Update: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped up her copy of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech and told reporters that tearing up the address was “the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives.”
Pelosi had been responding to a question from Fox News producer Jason Donner.
The moment was one of many that showed the deep partisan fissures in Congress. Trump did not mention impeachment during his speech, but it was certainly on many minds. The House impeachment managers sat together, while Trump showered praise on one of his biggest defenders, radio personality Rush Limbaugh, going to the extraordinary length of awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the address.
White House officials quickly tweeted out the moment when Pelosi tore up the speech.

The "Mother’s Day" cast continues to grow as Courteney Cox and Roselyn Sanchez have joined Paul Duddridge’s "Mother’s Day" cast, it was announced recently by the film’s producers Danielle James and Amy Williams. The drama is currently in production; shooting in Los Angeles will be completed by the fall, with a planned 2016 release date. The cast includes Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva Amurri Martino, Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, and Paul Wesley.
The film, which has been in development and production for the past three years, is being fostered by producers are Danielle James and Amy Williams who are both working moms.

Sebastian Coe beat John Bishop in their rhythmic gymnastics challenge for Sport Relief tonight (March 21).
The pair went head-to-head in the 'Clash of the Titans' task throughout this evening's live charity telethon. They each captained two teams and performed routines in front of an audience at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Team Coe won in women's pursuit cycling and rhythmic gymnastics, and Team Bishop were victorious at men's elimination race and synchronised swimming.
The teams went into the final event, swimming relay, with just one point separating them and Team Coe trailing behind. But it was Coe's group who earned the gold.
Coe said: "We've done this for an extraordinary effort tonight and I hope there are millions of young people who will benefit from everything that has been achieved. I think it was all down to my ribbons."

John Bishop thrusts alarmingly while waving ribbons about in a new video - but luckily it's all for Sport Relief.
The comedian is going up against Sebastian Coe for the campaign's Clash of the Titans, which sees the duo leading teams of famous faces in various games.
Watch John Bishop and Sebastian Coe in training for rhythmic gymnastics below:
The clip - which shows the duo swirling their ribbons with their best game faces on - also sees them getting out their best smack talk.
"John doesn't stand a chance," Coe claims. "But don't tell him that."
Meanwhile, Bishop declares: "Now it's time to settle this. Like men."
Sport Relief has already confirmed that Bishop will lead his team in a performance to 'I Predict a Riot', while Coe's gang will show off their skills to '9 to 5' by Dolly Parton.

The Jump's Laura Hamilton might have been eliminated from the competition last night, but she was quickly surrounded by people shouting "supermum" in her face. It's not a big surprise, given that she gave birth 11 weeks ago and then hit the slopes. Whenever Davina spoke to her, it was with a mixture of bafflement and admiration.
Well, Laura got on the phone this morning to talk getting whiplash, which celebrity is a "complete nutter" and who she thinks will win. Read on to find out about all that and more...
Laura, you were just half a metre shorter in your jump than Donal. Was that frustrating?
"You know what, yeah, you could say that I'm a little bit frustrated, but at the same time, the trainers always said to us, 'Never focus on how far you're going - you just need to focus on your stability'. Because that's the most...
