Ingrid Michaelson got particularly hands-on for her latest music video. The indie pop artist released the official clip of her new breakup single "Hell No" in April, and it was the first music video completely filmed on Snapchat. But after seeing the Deaf West theater company's Spring Awakening cast perform on the Tony Awards last month, she was inspired to recreate the music video for a wider range of viewers. So, Michaelson tapped six actors from the theater company who range from hearing impaired to deaf, and they appear in her new "Hell No" music video performing the lyrics translated...

The "Law & Order" franchise -- and "Svu," its lone remaining incarnation -- is known for its topical ripped-from-the-headlines storylines. But CBS' legal drama "The Good Wife" is quickly becoming the go-to show for topical plots. Case in point: Sunday's (Jan. 5) episode of "Tgw," which tackled a case incredibly similar to a "Glee" controversy from early 2013.
When "Glee" covered Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back," fans of singer/songwriter Jonathan Coulton recognized the folksy arrangement used on the show as the very same one Coulton had released years before. But after complaining to the show, Coulton received a less-than-stellar response.
"They also got in touch with my peeps to basically say that they're within their legal rights to do this, and that I should be happy for the exposure (even though they do not credit me, and have not even publicly acknowledged that it's my version -- so you know, it's...

Don't mess with the power of the Internet.
"Glee" may be learning this in the week after it became apparent that the Fox musical show had used Jonathan Coulton's arrangement of "Baby Got Back" for its "Sadie Hawkins" episode on Thursday (Jan. 24). While the song did air as scheduled and is now available for purchase on iTunes, the story isn't over.
That's because Coulton has an intense Internet-based following. And you anger an Internet following at your own peril.
The stealing/borrowing/honoring saga began on Friday, Jan. 18, when singer-songwriter Jonathan Coulton noticed that "Glee" had recorded a version of Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back." It sounded familiar. On further investigation, it became apparent that "Glee" was using Coulton's own folksy, ballad-like arrangement of the song.

Jonathan Coulton may not be the original artist behind "Baby Got Back," but he does have a rather distinctive version of the song out there. And now it looks like "Glee" may have used that version without permission.
Is this stealing? Is it legal but morally reprehensible? Or is "Glee" entirely in the right? A look at the case may help you decide.
The music/Internet fiasco began on Friday (Jan. 18) when Coulton -- an independent singer with a devoted Twitter following (almost 100,000 of them as of this writing) -- tweeted that a "Glee" recording sounded a whole lot like his own cover of the Sir Mix-a-Lot anthem:
"Hey look, @GleeonFOX ripped off my cover of Baby Got Back... Never even contacted me. Classy."
Twitter furor rose yet again when Coulton posted a follow-up to his first tweet:
"After listening, I think that @GLEEonFOX may have even used parts of my recording.

With two Grammy nominations under his belt and having sold out 35 of the 45 shows on his last tour, American DJ/producer Morgan Page went into the recent Miami Music Week on a high.
The title track of his fifth album, "In the Air" featuring Angela McCluskey (a co-production with BT, Sultan and Ned Shepard), went to #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart and spent 25 weeks in the top 10 last year. "Body Work," featuring MTV family indie darlings Tegan and Sara, followed as the album's second single, with an '80s-inspired video set in an auto shop that premiered on MTV's Buzzworthy in February.

If you're only just joining us, there's something you should know about me before we begin this episode of "The Vampire Diaries": To me, Taylor Kinney is perfect. So when I found out that he was coming back, I basically gurgled with joy. (It's true. I was on the set of "One Tree Hill" when I got the message. And I made a weird noise. It's a good thing that show is ending, because I'm not entirely sure I'd be invited back.)
I say this to warn you, dear reader, that this episode recap contains little to no intelligent thoughts, because for the entire hour I was watching, my brain was basically reciting, "Hot Uncle Mason! Stay forever! Hot Uncle Mason! Stay forever!"
Proceed at your own risk, please.
Previously on "The Vampire Diaries": Klaus compelled Stefan to be really mean and also really hot. Anna and Jeremy...

A summery, soulful vibe dominates the first half of the soundtrack to Friends With Benefits, the new comedy from Will Gluck which is unlikely to have a single review or article written about it that doesn’t mention Ivan Reitman’s conceptually identical No Strings Attached (hey, fulfilled my own prophecy there! Shaping the future. Yay me).
However just as the balmy heat and blue skies of summer can offer an irresistible environment for certain ill-advised behaviours (too much drinking, too much sun, spending your hard-earned money on a ticket for Green Lantern), so the early part of this tie-in album finds a number of classic songs receiving a refresh treatment that you’re not quite sure they ever really needed.
But, having said that, if logic dictates that only a brave fool would try to cover the Cure’s cast-iron classic Boys Don’t Cry, then the stripped-back, sensitive...

HollywoodNews.com: Cary Brothers just released his sophomore album “Under Control” in April, and his single “Ghost Town” has been doing well ever since.
While he is currently on a co-headlining tour with Greg Laswell, he has taken some time to film a music video for the single and has finally released it. The black and white video features some nice animation and takes the viewer through a dark story that comes full circle. This is definitely a nice follow up to Brothers’ story filled video for “Ride.”

Generic SoCal rock doesn’t Ask yourself a simple question: When you hear a stirring mid-tempo ballad on Grey’s Anatomy, do you rush off to the iTunes Store? If the answer is yes, then Greg Laswell’s Take a Bow is absolutely for you. The L.A. smoothie’s fourth album so expertly splits time between intimate ballads, atmospheric soft rock and starchy hard rock that it feels focus-grouped. “My Fight (For You)” is a dimly smoldering piano ballad and “Lie to Me” wearily climbs tier upon tier of chiming guitars; meanwhile, the hard rock aspects are unconvincing—the crashing chorus of “Come Clean,” for...
