- Kenny was former Road Crew member and Drum Technician to drummer Troy Luccketta of Arista Recording Artists, The Eric Martin Band, in 1984. The Eric Martin Band was managed by the same manager who managed Journey, Herbie Herbert. The Eric Martin Band opened for ZZ Top, AC/DC, Journey, Eddie Money and countless major rock and roll bands. The Eric Martin Band appeared on Dick Clark's American Bandstand on national TV. The following weekend, vocalist Eric Martin met and personally hired Kenny to join them.
