For two years, YouTube users have used the video site’s Creator Academy to learn about the fundamentals of online video success. At this point, the Creator Academy channel is filled with a mountain of tips from the web’s biggest stars, but for viewers who wish to see YouTube best practices boiled down to an even more concise essence, a ten-episode web series provides the basics. Creative Strategist Matt Koval hosts 10 YouTube Fundamentals, which delivers a quick dish of YouTube 101.
10 YouTube Fundamentals covers everything from proper posting schedules to collaborations with other channels. It began as a presentation developed by the site’s Creative Strategy team, and in an e-mail, Koval--himself a former YouTube content creator--describes it as “our top-rated resource.” Each episode is driven by input from top creators, who show up to share their secrets. The first episode, which discusses the concept of sharability, features appearances from...

London, Mar.29: A recent study on full moon has revealed that it turns everyone into lunatics.
The study says that one sleep less deeply to guard against attack and the dreams are "weird and bizarre", Daily Star reported.
Top sleep scientist Richard Wiseman said that at Full Moon, people dream they are Superman but at other times they dream of just being in the office.
According to the study, police and hospital workers say that people are wilder at this time and there is a hike in strange accidents.
One myth says the Moon is blue when it was full but a "Blue Moon" is simply the name for the fourth full moon to occur in a season and it does not change color.
Some believe it helps women get pregnant.

Washington, Mar 5: Science has taken the task upon itself to discover which joke is truly the funniest in the world.
According to the Huffington Post, British researcher Richard Wiseman worked hard to understand the core of humor.
His story is told in a new book by Scott Weems called "Ha!: The Science Of When We Laugh And Why."
Wiseman reached some fascinating and very scientific conclusions. The funniest animal is, allegedly, a duck. The Brits apparently prefer their humor dry, while the Americans are allegedly fond of aggression in their humor.
But the most important part of this work was surely the search for the funniest joke in the world. Wiseman asked 1 million people to offer their ratings.

In case you stumble upon my January 1, 2011 post on “New Year’s Resolutions for Independent Filmmakers,” you might want to bookmark this blog post by Richard Wiseman, in which he discusses ways to keep your New Year’s vows. Here are the first three, and the complete list is at the link. And check out the video below, in which Wiseman explains the experiment he constructed around this topic.
1) Make only one resolution, your chances of success are greater when you channel energy into changing just one aspect of your behaviour.
2) Don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to think about your resolution and instead take some time out a few days before and reflect upon what you really want to achieve.
3) Avoid previous resolutions; deciding to re-visit a past resolution sets you up for frustration and disappointment.

See, on top of being an award winning psychologist and educator, he's also a professional magician...
