The 2023 British Short Film Awards took place on Nov. 7 in an intimate ceremony at the Marylebone Theatre in London, hosted by Alex Zane. The night celebrated the best of this year’s British short films, with several of them qualifying for the Oscars and BAFTAs. Short film royalty were in attendance, including Slick Films founder Chris Overton, who won the Best Live Action Short Film Oscar in 2018 with Rachel Shenton for “The Silent Child.”
Gold Derby attended the warm, jovial ceremony, which is now in its third year. The ceremony featured a screening of “The Irish Goodbye,” which won Best Live Action Short at the Oscars earlier this year, along with an illuminating chat conducted by Alex Zane with the film’s directors Tom Berkeley and Ross White. Their new film, “The Golden West,” won Cinematography, Score, and Director.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Gunther def. Matt Riddle The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With the rest of his Imperium teammates barred from ringside, Intercontinental Champion Gunther took on Matt Riddle in a non-title match. Gunther and Riddle traded submission attempts to start the match, with Gunther applying a sleeper hold followed by a triangle hold attempt by Riddle. Riddle’s early momentum was derailed by a huge chop from The Ring General, followed by a body slam onto the mat outside of the ring. As Gunther beat down Riddle, The Original Bro withstood the punishment, attempting to get the victory after a ripcord knee. Gunther did not need Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci with him, defeating The Original Bro a huge Powerbomb.

Match #1: Damian Priest def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Competing in first match as Mr. Money in the Bank, Damian Priest took on fellow Money in the Bank competitor Shinsuke Nakamura. The action spilled to the outside as Priest dumped Nakamura onto the barricade. Conspicuous by his absence was Finn Bálor as the rest of The Judgment Day were at ringside. Nakamura locked in an armbar to try to submit Priest. As Nakamura went for the Kinshasa, Priest evaded, hitting a gnarly clothesline followed by South of Heaven to lock up his first win as Mr. Money in the Bank.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Women’s Tag Team Titles No. 1 Contenders’ Gauntlet Match – Winners: Chelsea Green...
