Born in Brooklyn, New York, educated at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
A singer since the age of 5, Ryan lived in Los Angeles after graduation
from college to work in television and on stage.
Appeared in "What If?" a musical revue which played at the Hudson
Theatre in Los Angeles. Mel Brooks, an opening night attendee, called
Raftery a "true comedic talent."
He returned to New York City in 2008 to write and perform his one man
show, "Ryan Raftery & Friends: A Solo Act".

Writer/Performer of the hit Off-Broadway Anna Wintour jukebox bio-musical "Ryan Raftery is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion". Wintour's daughter, Bee Shaffer attended opening night performance and posed for pictures with Raftery backstage, igniting huge press interest in the show. The musical went on to sell out all NYC performances before moving to Los Angeles to similar acclaim.
