Hell hasn’t quite frozen over on the Vancouver set of Marvel’s Helstrom but it’s close. A chill can be felt even inside the fabricated walls of St. Teresa’s Church as Tom Austen, who plays the titular Daimon Helstrom, sits down to talk with the press. It’s February and the show is months from its release date but Austen is already wearing the classic “Marvel leading man undercover” look, with a logo-less black hat atop his head. He’s prepared to discuss many aspects of Marvel’s first horror series, chief among them: just how much fun it is to set things on fire.
“I love the stuff with fire. I would say like over 90 percent of the fire-work that we’ve done has been practical. If there’s fire and Daimon’s standing by it then I’m standing by it. Which has been quite...

Following out chat with producer Harrison Wilcox (which you can find Here), we had the chance to catch up with Megan Thomas Bradner to talk more about Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore. Megan has produced several of Marvel's Anime projects as well as the Iron Man: Armored Adventures animated series. Firstly, can you tell our readers a little about yourself? I’m a Taurus, enjoy cold weather and hate long walks on the beach, or anything involving the beach. Oh, wait, not that type of …. well, okay then. Hm, Alaska girl by way of Boston for school and then been Hell Ay after that for Hollyweird shenanigans. I’m a comic fan who was in the right place at the right time and parlayed that into job getting to play in one of the best sandboxes in entertainment. Did the Iron Man movies influence how this film came...

Hulk isn't the only one of Earth's mightiest heroes teaming up with Iron Man for some post-"Avengers" movie action. "Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United" aside, Ol' Shellhead is calling upon two of his other team mates for an entirely different animated project, titled "Iron Man: Rise of Technovore."
"Rise of Technovore" is just the latest project announced for the Marvel Anime line, featuring the likes of not just Tony Stark but also the Black Widow and the eagle-eyed sharpshooter Hawkeye. Also included in the film are Marvel favorites Punisher and War Machine, with Nick Fury supposedly along for the ride as well.
According a press release, "Rise of Technovore" centers on a conflict between Stark "and the villainous Ezekiel Stane, who develops new bio-technology that seemingly outclasses the Iron Man armor. After Stane unleashes a terrorist attack and sets Tony up to take the fall, Iron Man must evade S.

Marvel animation has never been a high point of their multimedia outreach but last year G4 aired four Marvel Anime series (X-Men, Iron Man, Blade and Wolverine), taking the beauty of the animation from Japan and the lively characters of Marvel’s mutant superteam, the X-Men. Unfortunately G4 doesn’t have the biggest coverage so this now it’s been collected Marvel Anime: X-Men The Complete Series on DVD. The X-Men Anime team is largely the one used in Astonishing X-Men, and since Warren Ellis wrote both this series and part of that comic series it makes sense that he would use that roster.
There are twelve episodes but the story is split into two halves. The first is seeing the X-Men team of Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Beast and Professor X trying to locate a young mutant in Japan. They are still in the wake of losing Jean Grey (especially...

Can’t get enough of The Avengers hype? Do you love Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Tony Stark/Iron Man? Do you want more Iron Man and less S.H.I.E.L.D.? Does your fandom spill into the realm of animation too?
If you answered yes to any or all of the above, then you need to check out the Marvel Anime: Iron Man The Complete Series on DVD. Using the first Iron Man film as the only required back-story, Sony and Madhouse Animation brought everything that’s great about Japanimation to Iron Man–the mecha look, the fast action, and a slightly edgier approach than what’s typically passed for as cartoons in the states.
The story is set up nicely to bring Tony Stark to Japan because he wants to bring free energy to Japan, applying his life-saving Arc technology to create a large reactor to feed the country.
