Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 5, Episode 12 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired May 19 on Fox.
In the end, perhaps it was Omarion’s previous career as a professional rollerblader that gave him away. Omarion was the latest celebrity to be revealed on “The Masked Singer,” during Wednesday night’s semifinals episode. (Scroll down to watch his unmasking.)
Omarion was the Yeti, whose skill rollerblading on stage while singing under a heavy costume had impressed the show’s panelists.
“I was able to reveal my hidden talent, which is rollerblading,” the singer told Variety. “A lot of people don’t know, early on before I was a musician, I was a professional rollerblader… I really attribute that aspect in my life to being a fearless kid. I was on the 12 foot halfpipe. So it was really cool to show my music and my hidden talent at the same time.

Kelly Clarkson is coming on strong in her first season as a coach on “The Voice.” She heads into the first live show on April 16, which will feature the Top 24, with one of the strongest of the four teams. This one-time “American Idol” winner is rivaled only by three-time coach Alicia Keys. The two veterans of this reality competition series — Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — lag well behind according to our readers.
Clarkson’s six artists earned a combined 11 chair turns during the blind auditions. Four of these made the cut by winning a knockout while one was saved by Clarkson and the other was stolen from a rival coach after losing their knockout.
We have compiled a power ranking of the contestants now on Team Kelly Clarkson. These would-be winners are listed from best to worst based on: their reception in the knockouts, battles and blind auditions; the resulting...

Although the demo numbers for This Is Us beat out the Monday episodes of The Voice, last fall, the latter still drew more total viewers than any other NBC show in the 2016-17 television season. Will the series be able to reach those high notes again, in season 13? Either way, The Voice shouldn't be cancelled too soon. Back in May, The Peacock Network renewed it for a 14th season, which should premiere in spring. Still, tracking these ratings helps us gauge the success of other NBC series, so stay tuned.Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice singing competition typically airs twice weekly on NBC -- on Monday and Tuesday nights. Returning coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Miley Cyrus will be joined by new coach Jennifer Hudson. Team advisors in the 13th season include Joe Jonas (Team Adam), Rascal Flatts (Team Blake), Billy Ray Cyrus (Team...

Since we already pretty much knew that The Voice was heading for a Chloe Kohanski/Addison Agen showdown in next week’s finals, there was nothing to do during Monday’s performances by Season 13’s Top 8 but sit back, chillax and enjoy. With last week’s elimination of Ashland Craft and Shi’Ann Jones, the likelihood of a sonic train wreck was greatly reduced. And the remaining singers were ordinarily all, even on an off night, decent. Which of them stood out, though, solidifying for themselves a place alongside Chloe and Addison in the finals? Read on; we’ll discuss.

Amid a year rife with tragedy and division, the 2017 Cma Awards was a show of music unity, from the feel-good opening number — an all-star rendition of Hootie and the Blowfish’ “Hold My Hand” — to the night’s speeches: “I feel like we’re bonded together and banded together more than we ever have been,” Miranda Lambert told the crowd as she picked up her female vocalist trophy.
But behind the scenes, the country love fest seemed even cozier.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house after the 2017 Cma Awards paid tribute to Troy Gentry. In early September, the one-half of country music duo Montgomery Gentry was tragically killed in a helicopter crash. Exactly two months later, his bandmate Eddie Montgomery was joined by Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox for his first performance since Troy's sudden death. They sang an emotional rendition of Montgomery Gentry's 2002 hit, "My Town." As the cameras panned to the crowd, Gentry's widow, Angie Gentry, and their 15-year-old daughter, Kaylee Gentry, wept. Other country music stars were seen wiping away...

Before we dive into Night 3 of The Voice’s Season 13 Battles, perhaps we should address a mini-controversy: Am I grading on a curve? On one hand, maybe, since I’m comparing, say, Davon Fleming to Dave Crosby and not Bruno Mars. On the other, not really. The reason I end up handing out so many decent-to-good grades isn’t a curve, it’s that none of these singers are really D or F bad. The Voice doesn’t trot out William Hung types, so I kind of have no need for failing grades. That settled, let’s move on to Monday’s battles,...

It’s a cliché and a half to say that everything can change during The Voice’s Battles. In fact, if Carson Daly said it, I’m sure I’d roll my eyes. But it’s also, weirdly, true. Last season, I went into the Battles backing Felicia Temple and came out in awe of (eventual winner) Chris Blue. Going into Season 13’s Battles, my money was on… well, you know. However, I wouldn’t be in the slightest surprised if, by the time they were over, I was rooting for a different singer. Did Monday’s kickoff of the Battles,...
