Sony Pictures' panel at the San Diego Comic-Con was preceded by subsidiary Sony Screen Gems' panel for Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment in the Resident Evil franchise. Writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson was joined by cast members Mika Nakashima, Boris Kodjoe, Oded Fehr, Michelle Rodriguez and, of course, Milla Jovovich. Before bringing out the cast, Anderson came out first and talked about what to expect in Retribution.
We really wanted to blow out the franchise and make it much bigger for fans that have been sticking with us. It's been a long journey for us so far, and we really feel that this franchise is reaching a climax and we really wanted to make this an epic movie. I wanted to try and make this first truly, post-apocalyptic epic film and, to that end, we went all around the world to make this global event. We shot in Red Square in Moscow,...

Sony's roster at Comic-Con this year was impressive, with Neill Blomkamp's Elysium including Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, producer Simon Kinberg and Sharlto Copley, present. Len Wiseman's reboot of Total Recall brought in Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston and sci-fi flick Looper from Brick helmer Rian Johnson delivered Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt. Milla Jovovich makes her return as Alice in Resident Evil: Retribution, joined by Mika Nakashima in these press line interviews, as well as panel footage with the always-smiling Michelle Rodriguez. There's also a discussion on After Earth we've included as well. It's a solid buffet of releases, and, in all honesty, I never thought much of the Resident Evil film franchise to begin with, but each to their own. There aren't many people out there who Aren't looking forward to Blomkamp's District 9 follow-up, and Looper looks quite intriguing with Willis in the mix as well.

The Resident Evil series of movies has no special place in my heart and it’s slightly confusing how many there are compared to how many games there are, which characters are which in each installment, and why some characters have developed mental powers. That being said, they’re all pretty watchable in a bad/good battle way. On Friday at San Diego Comic-Con director Paul W.S. Anderson was joined by Milla Jovovich, Mika Nakashima, Boris Kodjoe, Oded Fehr, and Michelle Rodriguez, the latter two who are both returning from the dead for the franchise. What can we expect from what might be – but probably won’t be – the last installment? An epic as hell cat fight, based on the footage shown at Con. We got to see a 2 1/2 minute long segment of a promised 9 minute long fight which had Alice facing off against Jill Valentine in an Arctic arena, while...

The Panelists: Director Paul W. S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Mika Nakashima, Boris Kodjoe, Oded Fehr, and Michelle Rodriguez, returning to the franchise even though she was shot in the head way back in Resident Evil 1.
The Big Revelations: Retribution is the fifth film in the curiously popular franchise — the last film grossed almost $300 million globally — and Anderson described it as “The beginning of the end.” His leading lady (and wife) Jovovich went even further, claiming that Anderson had told her: “I really want to bring this to a closure. If we did do another one, I really want to end this story.

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.
For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.
See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know.

Some Hollywood stars have invaded Japan when "Resident Evil: Afterlife" had its world premiere in Tokyo on Thursday, September 2. Since early that night, a number of fans had gathered in front of Roppongi Hills to catch a glimpse of the film's stars and they were not made disappointed since the main cast such as Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller showed up.
By accident or not, Jovovich and Larter donned matching glittering dresses. The depicter of Alice looked skinnier in a loose golden short dress while her co-star showed off her baby bump in a purple dress. Miller, meanwhile, opted a formal black outfit for the event.
