Major League Baseball Draft out of UCLA. At UCLA, Utley was a baseball
teammate of former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Freddie
Mitchell.
Was a co-winner (along with Pat Burrell) of the 2005 Philadelphia
Phillies Player of the Year Award, as selected by the Philadelphia
chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
