Met his wife at a 1987 Whitesnake/Mötley Crüe concert in Washington, D.C.

Fighting polycystic kidney disease, he received a lifesaving kidney donation from pal Todd Chandler in 2001.
In 1975 moved to London where he began touring with bands as an audio engineer.
Across a 40-year career, Hendry worked with the likes of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Ozbourne, Van Halen, Page and Plant, Joe Walsh, the Eagles, Alanis Morissette, Lenny Kravitz, Cher, Stevie Nicks and Jennifer Hudson.
