Social media has been both the downfall and saving grace for rising actor Ivy Wolk, who just made her film debut at Cannes Film Festival in Sean Baker’s critically lauded “Anora.”
The 20-year-old L.A. native started making irreverent comedy videos in the early days of TikTok when she was just 14, amassing over 200,000 followers on an account called @fathoodbitch. But when she scored her first real acting job on the Freeform sitcom “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” she was forced to delete it — so she returned secretly in the midst of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic under the handle @livesinasociety. As her TikTok following grew even larger, the tide of public opinion began to shift. People on the internet unearthed old offensive tweets of hers, and before she knew it, Wolk found herself shunned. At the same time, she was dealing with the death of a friend.

New Delhi, Jan 30 (Ians) India’s trophy-winning captain Shafali Verma, her opening partner Shweta Sehrawat and leg-spinner Parshavi Chopra have been included in the Icc U19 Women’s T20 World Cup team of the tournament, day after beating England by seven wickets in the final at Potchefstroom in South Africa.
Shafali was at her destructive best with the bat and her tactical best as captain throughout the tournament. She would have liked to be more consistent with the bat but the rate at which her runs came (at 193.25) made up for it.
Her 34-ball 78 against UAE was an exhibition in power-hitting as she smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground for 12 fours and four sixes. She was the third-highest run-getter in the tournament with 172 runs. Shafali also chipped in with handy overs, scalping four wickets in seven games at an economy rate of just 5.04.

Potchefstroom, Jan 29 (Ians) India’s quest for a maiden world title in women’s cricket finally came to an end on Sunday when they defeated England by seven wickets in a low-scoring finale to emerge as the winner of the inaugural Icc U19 Women’s T20 World Cup at the Jb Marks Oval here.
Nearly 18 years after India first made it to the final of a World Cup through the 50-over event in 2005, Shafali Verma & Co produced a superb bowling performance coupled with some outstanding fielding to bowl out England for just 68.
Fast bowler Titas Sadhu, off-spinner Archana Devi and leg-spinner Parshavi Chopra were accurate in their line, and length and found enough help to pick two wickets each. Shafali, left-arm spinners Mannat Kashyap and Sonam Yadav took a scalp each in a dominating bowling performance.

Potchefstroom, Jan 29 (Ians) Batters Soumya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha shared a 46-run stand for the third wicket to lead India to a seven-wicket victory over England to win the inaugural edition of U19 Women’s T20 World Cup at the Jb Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Sunday.
After a superb bowling performance coupled with some outstanding fielding helped India bowl out England for just 68, Soumya (24 not out) and Trisha (24) stitched a vital partnership to give India their first-ever World Cup title in women’s cricket. The historic moment comes in the country where India first made it to the final of a World Cup 18 years ago, during the 2005 Odi World Cup.

Potchefstroom, Jan 27 (Ians) England held their nerve to set up a final clash with India in the inaugural edition of Icc Under-19 Womens T20 World Cup after beating Australia by just three runs in a thrilling second semi-final at Jb Marks Oval, here on Friday.
With their powerful batting line-up having faltered by posting 99 all out and leaving Australia exactly 100 runs at under a run a ball to win, an intense effort in the field and with the ball helped England defend a modest target.
Player of the match Hannah Baker led the charge, with the leg-spinner’s beguiling spell fetching her figures of 3/10 off four overs, with skipper Grace Scrivens supporting her with figures of 2/8 off 3.4 overs and getting the last wicket to fall by trapping Maggie Clark lbw for a duck.

Haley Lu Richardson and Olivia Cooke are well aware of how you feel about their characters. They know the women aren’t exactly the most likable of the bunch. In fact, it was even a challenge for them to find some empathy for the characters — but it was a fun challenge.
Speaking as part of TheWrap’s Power Women Summit on Dec. 13, Cooke and Richardson appeared alongside fellow actresses Aimee Lou Wood of “Sex Education” and “Living,” Xochitl Gomez of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and Tommy Dorfman, who is set to make her directorial debut on “I Wish You All the Best” after acting on shows including “13 Reasons Why.” And really, all five women have experienced a disconnect between how fans view them, versus their characters.

Through 18 seasons of Grey's Anatomy, there have been plenty of changes.
Some of the biggest changes come from the cast, as any show that has been on as long as Grey's has surely seen plenty of cast exits.
Luckily, the cast that departed early in the series (or even more recently) can still be seen in other projects. So where are they now?
Isaiah Washington -- Dr. Preston Burke
Isaiah Washington portrayed Dr. Preston Burke for the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy.
Washington also returned as a guest on Grey's Anatomy Season 10 after Cristina left Grey Sloan.

He's also appeared in shows such as Blue Bloods, Bull, Law & Order: LA, and was recurring during Survivor's Remorse Season 4.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has received a letter signed by 50 of Britain’s biggest stars, including Dame Judi Dench, Brian May Cbe, Leona Lewis, Gary Lineker OBE, James Arthur, Thandie Newton OBE, Alesha Dixon, Ricky Gervais, Mollie King and Dame Twiggy Lawson, urging him to implement a UK ban on the sale of real animal fur.
Animal protection organisation Humane Society International/UK which leads the #FurFreeBritain campaign in collaboration with other animal charities, is hopeful that a 2021 ban is possible now that the Brexit transition is completed.
Fur farming was banned in Britain almost two decades ago in 2003 as it was deemed too cruel. In the short span of her young career, Katherine Langford has already been part of several high-profile projects. But she’s never done anything like Netflix’s “Cursed” — at least not on the surface.
“I was looking for something that felt different and felt challenging,” Langford said. At the time, she had finished two seasons as the star of Netflix’s breakout teen drama “13 Reasons Why” and followed that up with Greg Berlanti’s gay romance “Love, Simon,” both of which worked to establish her as one of Hollywood’s go-to young stars. (She would later go on to appear in the Rian Johnson whodunnit “Knives Out” and film a small part in “Avengers: Endgame” that was cut from the final version of the film.)

For many viewers, Katherine Langford is still Hannah Baker from 13 Reasons Why, but that's about to change. The leading role in 13 Reasons Why was Langford's first major part. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for playing the teenager whose suicide was the central focus of the series. The series ran for four seasons, but Langford left the show after season two in 2018. Big screen roles followed, including Knives Out and Love, Simon, but now she's back with a TV show, Netflix's Cursed, playing a role that's a far cry from Hannah Baker. In her new series, Langford plays Nimue, the (cursed) young woman who goes on to become The Lady of the Lake in the King Arthur legend. "I think...

To say that 13 Reasons Why Season 4 was a waste would be the understatement of the century.
The controversial Netflix series had an intricately plotted and emotionally driven freshman season, but the show's purpose died when we learned what led to Hannah Baker's untimely demise.
Hollywood has been known to milk shows for all their worth, and that's why we witnessed Netflix beat a dead horse three seasons in a row.
While it's difficult to forgive the terrible storylines, 13 Reasons Why Season 4 actually got some of the characters right during its final season.
The series had some questionable storylines over the course of its run, but with faux school shootings, Clay completely losing his grip on reality, and other outlandish things, it seemed like all hope for worthwhile developments were dashed.
Alex coming to terms with his sexuality is the type of storyline I would have expected the show to botch.

This is a nice change of pace for Katherine Langford.
The former 13 Reasons Why star is leading the cast of Cursed, a new Netflix drama, that just got a premiere date and a first trailer.
Based on the New York Times bestselling book, Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.
After her mother's death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword.
Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

I read Jay Asher's 13 Reasons Why not long after it was originally published in 2007. The story about a teenage girl who dies by suicide and leaves behind 13 tapes with her 13 reasons for taking her life, was a very heavy one, but one that I felt Ok reading. I was in my early 20s at the time, older than the main character Hannah Baker, but I couldn't help but feel her pain of wanting to make friends and fall in love and be normal, only to have things constantly knock her down. It was a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end, and I was curious to see how Netflix would handle the adaptation when the story first dropped on the streamer in 2017.

13 Reasons Why takes on a number of major issues in its final season, but one of the topics is a continuation of a storyline we've been following since season one: Clay's declining mental health. Though his health takes a major turn for the worse this season, there have been hints that he suffers from anxiety from season one when his parents ask him if he wants to go back on his medication after the death of Hannah Baker. They're concerned that his nightmares may be coming back and offer him the option of speaking to someone who isn't a parent: in this case, a therapist.
In season two, Clay starts having visions of Hannah, interrupting his attempts at intimacy with then-girlfriend Skye. It could be seen as distressing psychosis or obsession, but extreme grief can also distort one's mindset. Hallucinations of dead loved ones is a common phenomenon, even for those without a mental illness,...

13 Reasons Why's remarkable first season centers on the suicide of Hannah Baker, but if you forgot about the other untimely death - that of Jeff Atkins - you missed a major callback in season four.
Let's rewind to season one, episode five: "Tape 3, Side A." Clay is tutoring jock and all-around-good-guy Jeff, and the two make a deal that if Jeff gets higher than a C, Clay will go to the school dance. Clay loses, and winds up at the dance. This ends up being a pivotal moment in Hannah's storyline, but there's also an important scene where Clay sits with Jeff on the bleachers and Jeff tries to convince him to ask Hannah to dance. In actuality, Jeff is wearing a gray suit. But in Clay's dream sequence that opens the episode, Jeff is wearing a white tux.
Justin Foley wears that same white tux - save for the...

What happened to 13 Reasons Why? It failed its viewers. The Netflix drama based on Jay Asher's book of the same name had a well-received first season chronicling the events that led up to the suicide of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), the aftermath and the tapes she left behind with her reasoning. Yes, it courted controversy and tackled taboo subjects like rape, violence and suicide, but at first it seemed like 13 Reasons Why had a grounded story to tell. There was a point to be made. Until the second season. Then the third. And now the fourth and final season. Warning, spoilers for the final season follow. Instead of focusing on one story to tell, 13 Reasons Why tried to tell them all....

We've had to say goodbye to a handful of characters throughout 13 Reasons Why's four seasons. Some hit Liberty High harder than others, and some truths behind the deaths will never be shared. The show's fourth and final season on Netflix wraps up with yet another death of a Liberty High School student that leaves a mark on everyone.
The show has changed a lot since the first season, after Netflix deviated from Jay Asher's novel the show is based on. When Hannah Baker gives her 13 reasons for killing herself, it includes various people in her life who have affected her. Two of her 13 reasons are Justin Foley. He was the first person she connected with when she came to town, but after he snapped a photo up her skirt while they were hanging out and shared it with his obnoxious friends, Hannah was quickly labeled a slut. 13 Reasons Why Season 4 was made official by Netflix last September, setting up what will serve as the final season for the series.
After the series released its third season last year, it became clear that formerly controversial water cooler topic series 13 Reasons Why was running out of reasons to cite, thus putting a finish line firmly on the horizon. While the show typically runs 13 episodes, this final run will contain just 10. However, creator/showrunner/Ep Brian Yorkey remained onboard to see things through.

13 Reasons Why is officially coming to an end next month. On Monday, Netflix announced that the show's fourth and final season will premiere on June 5. In an emotional goodbye video, which is set to "The Night We Met" by Lord Huron, we get glimpses of the cast tearfully hugging each other during one of their final table reads as well as clips of them filming at Liberty High. "I will never forget this experience for the rest of my life," Alisha Boe says in the video.
The video also included a few spoilers as Justin Prentice (who plays Bryce) was spotted with the rest of the cast during the table read. As fans will recall, his character was murdered last season, so we're definitely curious to see how the show brings him back. Perhaps in flashbacks or as a ghost? 13 Reasons Why wrapped up the story from the book it's based on in season one. And then it came back for season two. And three. And now season four, which will be its last. Why did the show go beyond the Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) story? And why is it ending now? Series creator Brian Yorkey said the producers "were strongly driven by the very conceptual hook of the book in the first season, of this mystery and in unfolding the mystery, you get to delve into the secrets that every teenager keeps and the things that affect their life along the way." While he was interested in exploring that with a different set of characters, "we fell in love with these characters and wanted to know what happened...

Season four of 13 Reasons Why will land on Netflix on June 5, and we will say our final farewells to the Liberty High crew. We can't wait to see how the show wraps up all the Wtf moments and cliffhangers from last season, and one thing we're really wondering is if Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) might somehow reappear in this final season.
If you recall, the first season of 13 Reasons Why was centered on Hannah's suicide as the people who contributed to her emotional torment had to deal with learning how much they hurt her. The first season of the show followed the book of the same name pretty closely, but the show ends where the book did. That means all of the following seasons were uncharted territory. And though Hannah was dead, she returned for season two to bridge the plot from the original story and into the new world.

Netflix have announced the premiere date for the fourth and final season of 13 Reasons Why, their popular teen mystery drama about the suicide of high schooler Hannah Baker. The last run of episodes will be released on June 5th, meaning there’s just under a month to go now before it arrives. Not only that, but accompanying the announcement was a sentimental behind-the-scenes retrospective video, which you can check out up above.
Sentimental was my way of being polite in an opening paragraph devoted to facts, not opinions. A more accurate word would actually be nauseating. Forgive me, but the kind of saccharine indie-windie-teeny-weeny lead-in they’re running for this season has moved me to do everything in my power not to watch it. But I’m not all people, and going by the YouTube comments on the video, it’s resonated with Netflix’s target audience just fine, it seems.

Get ready to bust out your cassette tape player for a breath of nostalgia: The fourth and final season of “13 Reasons Why” will launch June 5, Netflix announced Monday.

13 Reasons Why has a troublesome representation of its Lgbtq+ characters, especially during 13 Reasons Why Season 3, particularly in the portrayal and downfall of Monty de la Cruz.
If we boil it down, Monty and Bryce Walker are one and the same.
Their characterization is built around the same angry toxic masculinity: jocks who are mad at the world and excuse their hateful and distasteful behavior on their challenging upbringing.
The entirety of the third season dedicates itself to Bryce's redemption for all his past wrongdoings.
The show received a lot of backlash for the complete change in narrator and narrative, and rightfully so.
What once was a show focused on teen suicide and the amalgamation of the reasons behind Hannah Baker's death turned into a sob story for the perpetrator of rape.
Perhaps a commentary on how the justice system favors the white upper class.

13 Reasons Why has been a huge topic of conversation ever since it premiered on Netflix in 2017. Not only did the show spark important conversation about mental health, bullying, rape, and suicide, but the stellar cast has also quickly taken over Hollywood. Made up of mostly unknown actors, the stars behind Hannah Baker's 13 reasons piqued our interest from the start. Not only have we obsessed over their real-life friendships and how hot some of the guys on the show are, but we also found ourselves curious about their dating lives. We were pretty heartbroken when we found out Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen) has a girlfriend, but there are some cast members who are single and ready to mingle.

Amorowat Anysia Achola, Aka Ani, played by Grace Saif, surely shakes things up at Liberty High in the third season of 13 Reasons Why. Ani is the new girl in town (by way of the UK) and she has just as much to hide as her fellow students if not more. After her mother takes a job to care for Bryce Walker's sick grandfather, Ani and her mom move into the Walker guest house. Only a few months later, Bryce Walker goes missing and eventually is found dead, raising many questions for those around him. Many of which are brought up by Ani and her new pal Clay Jenkins on their mission to find the truth.
Like her character, Saif is also British (specifically from West Sussex) and quite new to the scene herself. The Netflix drama offers Saif her breakout role on the small screen, aside from a brief appearance on Doctors,...

Bryce Walker is dead. But that doesn't mean you won't see him again. It's 13 Reasons Why, after all, Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) was dead and appeared in two seasons. The third season of the Netflix drama—its penultimate because season four will be the last—revolves around the murder of Bryce (Justin Prentice). Everyone's a suspect, especially when you consider how…not great of a person the character was throughout the first two seasons. "It's an interesting journey," Prentice told The Hollywood Reporter about the new season. "I don't know that death necessarily is a just punishment. I think that's up to the viewers." In the first two...

When Netflix’s controversial “13 Reasons Why” returns, it will be with a new question that will plague the continually traumatized students of Liberty High. This time, instead of examining the reasons for Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) killing herself, the series will investigate another death – the mysterious murder of star athlete and bully Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), who raped Hannah before her suicide.
This new murder-mystery twist will once again ignite tensions within the school as motives will be questioned and fingers will be pointed. Bryce was popular but he was also loathed and feared, and in the trailer that Netflix released Wednesday, one fan favorite will become a prime suspect.
Here’s Netflix’s official description for the season:
Who killed Bryce Walker? Everyone has their reasons… The secrets at Liberty High run deep, and in the aftermath of the Homecoming game all of the friends have something to hide.

Who’s up for another chill, drama-free season of 13 Reasons Why? After spoiling its own plot twist earlier this month (someone kills Bryce Walker!), the Netflix series released an official trailer on Wednesday, confirming what fans likely already assumed: every single character is a suspect.
In addition to Bryce’s untimely (yet somehow long overdue) death, the show’s third season will also be its first without Hannah Baker; former leading lady Katherine Langford revealed back in May 2018 that she wouldn’t be returning to the series, explaining that her character’s story concluded in Season 1, comparing Season 2 to “being in purgatory.

With the third season of 13 Reasons Why set to premiere Aug. 23 and a fourth season already confirmed, fans might be disappointed to learn that Katherine Langford, who made her acting debut in the series, will not reprise the role of Hannah Baker. Langford first confirmed this information on Instagram and in an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in May 2018 just before the show received its third season renewal:
"13 Reasons Why will always be a really special part of my life, and I know I'll always be close to the people that I've worked with on this show. But I'm also really excited for what's to come. Even though the show is so huge, and I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to play Hannah, it still is just one thing that I've done, and since then I feel very grateful to have been a part of Love, Simon, and I have another film,...

While the memory of Hannah Baker can never be forgotten, it appears Netflix's 13 Reasons Why is introducing a new voice to narrate the series, ahead of its third season. Originally read by Katherine Langford, the show now seems to be narrated by newbie Grace Saif, who is playing Ani this season.
The streaming service has yet to announce whether or not Saif will officially be the main voice of the show, but she is presumably leading the narration of the series's newest trailer. Langford confirmed her exit from the series, concluding Hannah's role on the show, leaving room for someone new to step in. Someone like Ani?
While little is known about Ani, hints online suggest the actress is definitely in line and qualified to take over.
Let's break down the clues: Saif is British, as seems to be the case with the narrator of the season three trailer.

Get your detective hat ready, we've got a murder mystery on our hands in the new season of Netflix's controversial drama 13 Reasons Why. Following the departure of Katherine Langford as Hannah Baker, the series' biggest villain, Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), has been killed off and his murderer is at large. The third season is sure to bring a lot of new thrills as we work to hunt down Bryce's killer when the show returns Aug. 23.
The newest trailer opens with a crime scene before surfing through the town, giving us a peek at the conflicts that are sure to arise throughout the season. Many guilty-looking faces with secrets to hide offer up more questions than answers, though. We see Montgomery de la Cruz (Timothy Granaderos) presumably now leading the pack of jocks in Bryce's absence, Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) appearing riddled with guilt at the funeral, and a new character,...
