- As an artist, Grant Lounsbury, is a triple threat: animator, illustrator; and, oil painter, using a looser style. Grant Lounsbury is from Goderich, Ontario, Canada. He pursued his passion, at Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technologies, in Oakville, Ontario, a classically trained animator, he graduated in 1989 obtaining, a Bachelor of Arts, Animation Degree.
Grant has over 30 years experience, in the field of a professional artist. His skills: traditional 2d animation, character design, inking, story concepts, layout artist, conceptual designer, key animator, illustrator; and, his favourite: oil painting.
He has worked on various projects: commercials, television, educational games, video games, feature films. At: Disney, Nelvana, Natterjack Animation Studios, 20th Century Fox Feature Animation, Fanciful Arts Animation Studios. Including, designing illustrations, for religious study guides, and other books, at Alpha Omega Publications.
Grant, now, lives in Geneva, New York. He works, mainly on his oil paintings; and, as an art teacher, at Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, in up-state, New York. But, continues to use his animation experience, in many illustration projects.

- Grant was inspired, by the Group of Seven, Canadian landscape painters; Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) American painter; and, Walt Disney's artists: John Lounsbery (1911-1976) and Mary Blair (1911-1978).
- In my work, I hope to tell the story of an experience or an event. I feel it is important for me as an artist to document what I've encountered due to the enormous environmental changes and urban sprawl seen in our world today. I strive to create a record of the world that I see and to interpret the connection I have to the natural world.
