Exclusive Stills and Behind the Scenes Shots From Amy Hesketh’s Bolivian S&M Shocker Justine! (Nsfw)
Controversial actress and filmmaker Amy Hesketh gives Shock some exclusive pics from the set of Justine. The bizarre, unique films spawned by the partnership between American born, Bolivia based, actress and visionary Amy Hesketh and director Jac Avila fell onto my radar a few years ago via a writer/producer friend. After having my mind gently…

Over the past year I reviewed a lot of indie horror films, some of them really good, some of them just Ok, and some of them really, really bad. The following isn't exactly a best of the year list, because I haven't watched every single film that was released, played at a film festival, or completed filming this year. Rather, these are the best movies that I reviewed for MoreHorror.com in 2015, and are all movies that I can recommend without hesitation.
Mania is directed by Jessica Cameron and stars Ellie Church. Olalla is written and directed by Amy Hesketh and stars Amy Hesketh, Jac Avila, Mila Joya, and Erix Antoine. Headless is directed by Arthur Cullipher, written by Nathan Erdel, and stars Shane Beasley, Kelsey Carlisle, Dave parker and Ellie Church. Spring is directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and written by Justin Benson,...

There has been a huge explosion in recent years of great female horror film directors who are transgressing boundaries with gory, exciting, thought-provoking blood baths. Amy Hesketh, an American writer-director-producer-actress working out of La Paz, Bolivia is a name that should be on everybody's lips when they talk about female horror film directors, but unfortunately she is virtually unknown in her own country.
I am not quite sure why this is. Perhaps it is because she lives and creates so far away in such a remote country, but more likely it is because her films are so sexually transgressive, and are so determined not only to deal with taboo subject matter, but to be taboo objects themselves, that it's just a little much for high-strung Americans to deal with, or perhaps, even more likely, the gate-keepers, such as film festival directors and horror journalists,...
