At age 16, Johnson received an Honorable Mention for the Drexel
University High School Ten-Page Screenplay Contest (2001).
At age 15, Johnson was in a high school production of "Of Mice and
Men". He played the part of "Crooks" and toured London, England
performing the play.
Received Honorable Mention at the 2007 Tabloid Witch Awards.
CJ Johnson is only the second filmmaker to win in two different years at the Tabloid Witch Awards. He won Honorable Mentions in 2007 for "The Signal" and 2008 for "Creepers".
Top 15 finalist in the Screamfest LA writing competition for feature adaptation screenplay of Johnson's own award winning short film, "Creepers" (2010).
