Exclusive: Production starts today in Vancouver on the new Prime Video and Blumhouse Television horror-comedy slasher feature Totally Killer, starring Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Olivia Holt (Cruel Summer), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), and Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat).
The film follows Jamie (Shipka) whose mom, Pam (Bowen), is terrorized by the resurgence of the Sweet Sixteen Killer — a masked maniac that slaughtered a group of teenage girls in the ‘80s. “Peacemaker,” the HBO Max “Suicide Squad” spinoff series, continues to grow.
The show has added four new faces to its cast, namely Chukwudi Iwuji (“When They See Us”) as a series regular, and Lochlyn Munro (“Riverdale”), Annie Chang (“Shades of Blue”) and Christopher Heyerdahl (“Togo”) as recurring guest stars.
They join previously announced cast members John Cena (playing the titular role), Danielle Brooks, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, and Chris Conrad in the series which is a spinoff from James Gunn’s forthcoming “The Suicide Squad” pic.
Few details about the exact roles these new additions will play are being made available, other than their names. Iwuji is playing a character named Clemson Murn, Munro is playing Larry Fitzgibbon, Chang is joining as Detective Sophie Song, and Heyerdahl will play Captain Locke.

This year’s American Black Film Festival lineup is stacked with some of the top names in Hollywood as well as emerging voices including a screening of Reginald Hudlin’s The Black Godfather, a conversation with Spike Lee and his protege Stefon Bristol as well as the five finalists for HBO Short Film Competition, which is now in its 22nd year. Exclusive: Manny Jacinto, who returns at 8Pm tonight as Jason Mendoza in the season 3 premiere of NBC comedy The Good Place, is joining Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick in the role of Fritz, a pilot. The Tom Cruise sequel to the 1986 hit arrives in theaters on June 26, 2020.
Jacinto joins a huge cast that includes Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Ed Harris, Jon Hamm, Monica Barbaro, Miles Teller, and Glen Powell.
Jacinto will also be seen in the 20th Century Fox Drew Goddard-directed feature Bad Times at the El Royale opposite Chris Hemsworth on Oct. 12.

Warner Bros. has picked up an untitled workplace comedy by Jason Filardi for Zac Efron to star in and produce. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are in negotiations to produce via their Offspring Entertainment banner.
Attaching himself to the Filardi workplace comedy is the latest move for Efron, who set up his production shingle at Warners in February but has quietly been putting the pieces together with his manager, Alchemy Entertainment's Jason Barrett.
The company now has a name -- Ninjas Runnin' Wild Prods. -- and has staffed up, with former Fox executive Jason Young coming aboard as head of development and to act as point person at Nrw. Young spent five years at Fox, working on "X-Men: The Last Stand," "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Max Payne," among other movies.
Angie Edgar, a former assistant and creative executive at Alchemy, has been tapped to act as Nrw's creative executive.
