Executive Director and Producer for Boulder Community Media (BCM) Alan O'Hashi works through WCM with community based media producers, organizations, and socially-responsible businesses to develop their content via - the written word, electronic and new media, the visual and performing arts in a culturally competent manner.
He's been involved with community based journalism and story telling since he wrote an article in his elementary school paper, the FairView. He previously worked at the Wyoming State Journal in Lander and plies his journalistic skills in digital form.
Following his work in print media, he moved into digital video and content production with distribution through social media and providing content on behalf of a variety of TV and print news outlets, Wyoming state government agencies. In addition, BCM has produced and directed a variety of projects:

Wyoming Governor's Arts Award honoree profiles (2011 - 2013 - Wyoming Arts Council) . Wyoming Cowgirls W-NIT championship (2012 - Aired on BTV channel 54 in Boulder, Colorado) . Wyoming State Parks 75th Anniversary documentary - (2012 - Wyoming State Parks and Historic Sites) . Mahjong and the West - 2013 (Produced in Jackson, Wyoming and premiered in the Woodstock Film Festival); . New Deal artwork in Wyoming Post Offices - 2015 (Kemmerer, Riverton, Powell, Mammoth, Greybull, Casper for the Wyoming Humanities Council)
Alan and BCM produce the Whistle Stop F.I.L.M. Festival (Filmmaker Interactive Local Meetups). He was a member of the Vail Film Festival screenplay contest final judging panel, and currently a member of the Boulder International Film Festival board of directors.
