- Wayne Hodges co-wrote with Alci Rengifo Once Upon a Woman, a short film western which Wayne directed. Executive produced by Wayne's friend and mentor, Salvador Carrasco. The film went on to win 8 awards in 17 different film festivals worldwide, including a Gold Remi at the 52nd Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival.
After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corp, Wayne studied acting at the famed Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in West Hollywood, studying under Marc Marno, Sasha Krane, and Hedy Sontag. Wayne also studied screenwriting under Mark Kemble. Since leaving Strasberg, Wayne has been a part of and/or acted in numerous productions, including Azizam in the role of "Rameen", directed by Alci Rengifo and executive produced by Salvador Carrasco. Azizam, set in pre-revolution Iran, won a Platinum Remi at the 56th Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival, and was an Official Selection at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival: Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.
