[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts Season 3 Finale, “Isaac’s Wedding.”] Ghosts held a very special wedding in its Season 3 finale episode, aptly titled “Isaac’s Wedding,” but fans were in for a big surprise when Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) couldn’t go through with his nuptials to Nigel (John Hartman), and that wasn’t even the most shocking moment. While Isaac experiences a touch of cold feet due to the presence of living stripper and DJ Chris (Deniz Akdeniz), he seems to be swayed back to the idea of marriage until Pete (Richie Moriarty) returns from his St. Lucia getaway sharing his feelings of love for a ghost named Donna (Allegra Edwards) that he met while there. Realizing that he doesn’t feel this way about Nigel, Isaac decides to step back from the impending marriage, leaving Carol (Caroline Aaron) of all ghosts to pick up the leftovers and get married to a bayonetted red coat.

“The Flight Attendant” is not getting another season at Max, Variety has confirmed.
The series, which starred Kaley Cuoco, aired two seasons at the streamer. It originally debuted on Max in 2020, with the second season airing in 2022.
“What started out as an attention-grabbing book cover quickly evolved into an extraordinary flight of a lifetime,” Cuoco said in a statement. “I always envisioned Tfa as a limited series and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons. Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life.”

The Flight Attendant will not be returning for a third season. The show, which was originally set as a limited series, aired two seasons on Max, with the second season ending in May 2022.
The move follows comments from star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco after the second season that the “plane had landed.” “I just kind of feel like we just ended,” she told People at the time.
The first season, which premiered in November 2020, followed Cuoco’s alcoholic, globe-trotting flight attendant Cassie Bowden who became embroiled in an espionage plot following her affair with a first class passenger, who winds up murdered after their night together.
The second season saw Bowden return with a fresh start in Los Angeles, sober and moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.

In what may be the first of many big delays in this dual-strike era, ABC has decided to hold High Potential, its new, Kaitlin Olson-led detective drama, for fall of next year.
In the wake of the WGA strike being settled but SAG-AFTRA still at the hypothetical bargaining table, there has been speculation that the broadcast networks may opt to forego fast-tracking abbreviated seasons of 13 (or far fewer episodes) that dribble out in late winter/spring and instead sit tight and launch full, robust seasons next fall.

The comedy series, which is based on the life of writer and executive producer Michael Colton, revolved around the heartwarming yet super uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating relationship between three adult siblings: one who’s in the one percent, one who’s middle class and one who’s barely holding on.
The series starred Topher Grace, Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Tatro, Karla Souza and Sasheer Zamata and featured Shiloh Bearman, Jordyn Curet, Chloe Jo Rountree and JeCobi Swain. ABC has canceled its comedy Home Economics — one of just two shows from the network’s 2022-23 slate that was still in limbo — after three seasons.
Additionally, ABC has pushed High Potential, a crime drama starring Kaitlin Olson, to a fall 2024 debut after initially ordering it for this season. Dual strikes by writers (which ended this week) and actors during the summer and fall have caused significant shuffling of broadcast network schedules already, and there will likely be more moves as the window for producing new episodes for 2023-24 tightens.
Home Economics had the smallest Nielsen-measured audience among the five ABC comedies that aired during the regular September-to-May season in 2022-23. It averaged 2.92 million viewers per episode over seven days, along with a 0.55 rating among the key ad demographic of adults 18-49 (figures don’t include streaming). ABC Signature and Lionsgate Television produced the series, which revolves around three adult siblings (Topher Grace,...

ABC is making some changes to its lineup following the resolution of the writers strike.
Comedy Home Economics has been canceled after three seasons, and new drama High Potential has been moved to fall 2024.
ABC still has to make decisions on a renewal for The Rookie: Feds and the status of The Good Lawyer, a backdoor-pilot spinoff of The Good Doctor. It passed on four of its pilots in June: Anthony Anderson-fronted Public Defenders and Ellie Kemper-led Keeping It Together, which is a remake of British comedy Motherland, as well as dramas The Hurt Unit, starring Melissa George and Ben McKenzie, and Judgement starring Sex/Life’s Sarah Shahi.

Exclusive: The cameras will soon start rolling on the highest-profile French series to be remade in the U.S., ABC’s High Potential, with the show’s seller believing this latest remake will catapult it to “global brand” status.
High Potential was recently taken from pilot to series in the U.S., becoming one a number of global remakes of France’s TF1/Belgium’s La Une original High Intellectual Potential (Hpi). The show is one of a very small number from France to have made their way across the Atlantic, joining the likes of A&e’s version of The Returned and Apple TV+’s Calls US.
Disney Television Studios’ ABC Signature announced it was remaking Hpi last year and it wasn’t long before Deadline revealed that ABC was showing interest. Daredevil and Cloverfield helmer Drew Goddard subsequently boarded as EP, Rob Thomas is showrunner and Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny...

The official trailer for Sony’s “Dumb Money” has dropped, shedding light on how a group of amateur investors artificially increased the stock value of GameStop, the popular video game retailer.
The short squeeze occurred in January 2021 after Reddit users on a page called “Wall Street Bets” united to catalyze a market explosion. As a result, significant hedge funds and independent short sellers incurred devastating financial loss.
Based on author Ben Mezrich’s “The Antisocial Network,” “Dumb Money” similarly centers around the Reddit users behind the phenomenon with actors Seth Rogen, Paul Dano, Sebastian Stan and Pete Davidson in lead roles.
The star-studded cast also includes Nick Offerman, Shailene Woodley, America Ferrera, Dane DeHaan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Clancy Brown, Anthony Ramos, Kate Burton, Christina Brucato, Deniz Akdeniz, Talia Ryder, Myha’la Herrold, Larry Owens and Rushi Kota.

ABC has handed Drew Goddard’s pilot High Potential, starring Kaitlin Olson, a series order.
The pickup is not surprising; the drama, based on the popular French detective series Hip (High Intellectual Potential) has been the clear frontrunner among ABC’s crop of 2023 pilots.
It is the only pilot ABC is making a decision ahead of its upfront. The remaining five, dramas The Good Lawyer, The Hurt Unit and Judgment, and comedies Keeping it Together (fka Drop-Off) and Public Defenders, remain in contention.
Networks already have been shifting toward year-round development and have not been doing all of their pilot decisions before upfronts. With the writers strike this year, they are even more cautious, taking a wait-and-see approach given the financial commitment and logistical issues associated with a new series order if the work stoppage stretches over several months. “The Flight Attendant” recently wrapped up its Season 2 run on HBO Max, so today, TheWrap can exclusively share a look at how the show is made, including all those moments that required a “Take 2” — Aka the blooper reel.
In the featurette, which you can watch above, there’s no shortage of chaos and comedy.
The three-minute behind-the-scenes clip is chock-full of acting goofs, f-bombs and middle fingers as stars Kaley Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Rosie Perez, T.R. Knight and Deniz Akdeniz fail to nail lines and succeed in making their scene partners laugh out of turn.
“I got one more before I just pee right here,” Cuoco jokes in the video prior to filming one scene. “So, I’m telling you that’s gonna happen. I’ve warned you.”

This article contains spoilers for The Flight Attendant finale.
HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant ended its second season with a tinnitus-triggering explosion, but that wasn’t the biggest showdown of the episode for Cassandra Bowden (Kaley Cuoco), who has spent all season fighting various versions of herself, from someone impersonating her across the world to the worst parts of her personality manifesting inside her mind palace. After eight episodes of following doppelgängers in blonde wigs, it turns out they were red herrings—the real threats came from the natural blondes.
Who’s Trying to Frame (and Kill) Cassie?
The penultimate episode, “No Exit,” knocked both of Cassie’s bewigged doubles off the suspect list. At the pier, Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max (Deniz Akdeniz) tased Gabrielle (Callie Hernandez) and Esteban (J.J. Soria) Diaz, while Cassie wound up on the ferris wheel with fellow flight attendant Grace St. James...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Flight Attendant Season 2 finale, “Backwards and Forwards.”] After a couple of near-death experiences in the Flight Attendant Season 2 finale, Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) is left in a relatively good place, at Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max’s (Deniz Akdeniz) wedding. But first, she must figure out who Grace (Mae Martin) was working for. The answer is not entirely surprising: Dot (Cheryl Hines), the CIA regional director, who was also the one to send Cassie the viewmaster and based on her file, thought she’d fit the profile of a rogue operative. Once that’s solved (and Dot’s taken into custody), however, Cassie ends up in more danger: Jenny (Jessie Ennis), from her AA meetings, has kidnapped her brother Davey (T.R. Knight) and is targeting Cassie due to her obsession with Feliks (Colin Woodell). In facing and stopping her, Cassie accepts all the parts of herself, and the different Cassies in her ...

HBO Max's The Flight Attendant Season 2 has been firing from all cylinders, taking the characters across the globe and delivering some shocking twists along the way.
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 4 brought Michelle Gomez back into the mix as Miranda, despite no mention of a comeback before the premiere.
"There's no world in which we weren't going to have Miranda back in some way, shape, or form. And I think this was the perfect opportunity," series creator Steve Yockey shared with TV Fanatic.
"She was a huge fan favorite in season one," co-showrunner Natalie Chaidez added.
"I think the fun of bringing her back in the unexpected way of stabbing a man in the back in a full-on, beautiful leather puffer and then getting shot in the leg again really leans into the fun of that character."

There are two important things to know while watching HBO’s new limited series We Own This City.
One: Jon Bernthal is mesmerizing as the duplicitous Sgt. Wayne Jenkins. And two: The scenes where Jenkins isn’t the focus are slow and tedious. This is to be expected in the inaugural installment, which premiered Monday on HBO, because the table has to be set. Thankfully, as the characters are established and the mostly true story unfolds, the real Jenkins is revealed, and so is how he eventually got busted.

When the HBO Max series “The Flight Attendant” premiered in the fall of 2020, it did so as a “limited series” based on the 2018 Chris Bohjalian novel of the same name. One-part spy thriller, one-part millennial comedy and one-part character study, the Steve Yockey-developed show ended in a way that managed to both wrap up the main mystery (and technically “fix” the main character as she finally confronted her issues with alcohol and their origins) and pave the way for a follow-up season, even with the limited series descriptor still hanging over it.
Of course, the day after the finale dropped, HBO Max announced that “The Flight Attendant” Season 2 was cleared for takeoff. Considering past mixed results of expanding limited series into multi-season shows, trepidation was understandable. But based on the first six episodes of “The Flight Attendant” Season 2 (there are eight in total), it’s clear that the right...

Based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, “The Flight Attendant” follows the impulsive title airline employee Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) as she suddenly finds herself embroiled in a murder mystery, unsure of where she fits into the picture. Reckless and rash, she’s forced on the run from both the authorities and her own alcoholism-fueled trauma, which keeps resurfacing as she struggles to make sense of how her life careened so far off the runway.

The Flight Attendant got off the ground running in 2020, taking viewers on a wild ride that featured thrills, jokes, and everything you'd expect from a comedy-drama about a flight attendant caught up in a murder.
The renewal for The Flight Attendant Season 2 came as a huge surprise, primarily because of the self-contained nature of The Flight Attendant Season 1.
Fast-forward almost two years, and The Flight Attendant Season 2 is almost ready for take-off.
Six episodes were screened for critics in advance of the premiere, and while I can't deny there are more twists than before, they water it down to the point that the narrative feels muddled instead of compelling.
When we pick up with Cassie, she's moonlighting as a CIA agent while still working as a flight attendant, which in theory, should raise the stakes considerably.
Unfortunately, the plot moves in many bizarre directions that make it extremely difficult to connect with our heroine.

The first season of “The Flight Attendant” was a rollicking, fun reconfiguring of the spy genre with a stunning (and Emmy-nominated) performance from leading lady Kaley Cuoco as Cassie Bowden. What started out as the story of a drunken flight attendant waking up next to a dead body blossomed into a dark — and, at times, somewhat convoluted — exploration of guilt and addiction.
It was often easier to remember Cassie’s journey towards sobriety than the wacky plot involving government espionage and assassins. That note might have been taken to heart by HBO Max with Season 2, as the spy elements may be present and accounted for, but they feel far less critical to this season than Cassie’s personal growth.
While most addicts are urged not to make significant life changes for the first year, Cassie Bowden has jumped in to change with both feet. She’s not only gotten sober...

It’s been over a year since audiences last saw Cassie Bowden (Emmy-nominated Kaley Cuoco), a flight attendant drawn into the world a world of murder and intrigue after waking up next to a dead man.
Based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian, “The Flight Attendant” wasn’t just a story about Cassie’s attempt to clear her name; she is the last person to have spent time with murder victim, Alex Sokolva (Michiel Huisman). It’s also a stark examination of addiction, as part of the reason Cassie is implicated in Alex’s murder has to do with her inability to remember anything that happened.
“The Flight Attendant” was one of the first original series created for HBO Max and its success translated into nine Primetime Emmy Awards, including nominations in Best Lead and Supporting Actress for Kaley Cuoco and Rosie Perez, respectively.
