A new drama is coming to BET+ this winter from director Armani Ortiz (Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story).
Perimeter, set in Atlanta in the 1990s (see the trailer, below), stars Tatyana Ali alongside newcomer Ava Mone’t and Donovan Christie Jr. The series centers around the Dawn family, daughter Paige (Mone’t), a sophomore at Spelman college whose life gets off track when she falls for a bad boy type; her father, Councilman Robert Dawn (Christie), whose political ambitions on his quest to become mayor come at a grave personal and moral cost; and his wife, Connie (Ali), who tries to keep the family together. Their personal drama takes place against the larger backdrop of two of Atlanta’s biggest cultural events at the time: Freaknik and the 1996 Summer Olympics.

"Such a travesty, what happened to her." Hulu has unveiled a rather creepy full-length official trailer for Candy, a true crime murder mystery series streaming on Huu starting next month. Candy is set in Texas in 1980 and is based on the true story of killer Candy Montgomery and her victim, Betty Gore. Jessica Biel plays Montgomery Candy, who seemingly had it all - a loving husband with a good job, a daughter and a son, a nice house in the brand new suburbs - so why did she kill her friend from church with an ax? Indeed, an intriguing question... This trailer gives some obvious hints at what's going on between them, but the mystery of how she covered it up seems more interesting. The series co-stars Melanie Lynskey as Betty Gore, plus Pablo Schreiber, Raúl Esparza, Sharon Conley, Dash McCloud, Aven Lotz, and Antonella Rose. This has such an eerie vibe to it,...

Can you smell that? It’s the scent of “Almost Summer.” No, that’s not the name of a cheap fragrant candle, but the aroma multiplexes let waft when it’s almost the main season for blockbusters. But before we focus on mega movies like The Avengers in May, and The Dark Knight Rises in July, April has some unique choices for us, most of which are not based off comic books, or feature gluttonous budgets.
April is going to be an intimate month with a slew of romantic movies, some more comedic than others – American Reunion, The Lucky One, Think Like A Man, The Five-Year Engagement, and even the indie Darling Companion. Even the horror genre is going to see some unique spins, with movies like The Cabin in the Woods, Detention, and The Raven.

I must have watched the 1985 Michael J. Fox version of Teen Wolf dozens of times. It was one of those movies I must have asked my mum to video off the telly to watch with my friend Steven when I was about 10 and would just continue to watch until the video tape wore out! I wasn’t too sure how I felt about a TV series of the movie being announced by MTV a while back but then I heard that director of Splinter & The Grudge 3 (and one of our first ever friends on Twitter, Toby Wilkins) would be co-directing so I jumped on board with the idea.
The TV series stars Linden Ashby, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, Tyler Posey, Colton Haynes, Holland Roden, Robert Pralgo, Jr Bourne and Sharon Morris.

When it was first announced that 80's classic werewolf comedy 'Teen Wolf' was being turned into a new TV series for MTV I must admit I wasn't thrilled. But these days there isn't much on TV that isn't vampire or werewolf related so I guess there's a market for it. Which is a bit of luck as they have announced that the show will air on 5 June straight after the MTV Movie Awards. Russell Mulcahey ('Resident Evil: Extinction') has helmed the pilot from a script penned by Jeff Davis. Linden Ashby, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, Tyler Posey, Colton Haynes, Holland Roden, Robert Pralgo, Jr Bourne and Sharon Morris are all down as cast members....
