Is Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, real? “Sasquatch,” the upcoming Hulu docuseries executive produced by Mark and Jay Duplass probably isn’t going to answer that question.
However, the series does aim to offer a deep-dive into a grisly triple homicide that was allegedly caused by a Sasquatch decades ago. Hulu recently released a trailer for the project which is directed by Joshua Rofé.
Hulu’s synopsis for “Sasquatch” reads: While visiting a pot farm in Northern California in 1993, investigative journalist David Holthouse heard a story that still haunts him. On a nearby farm three men were torn limb from limb in a savage Bigfoot attack. “Sasquatch” follows David as he revisits the Redwoods 25 years later in search of any evidence that might lead to the truth of what happened that night. As he pulls at the threads of this story he’ll be taken down a path that’s...

Hulu on Wednesday unveiled premiere dates for its spring slate of original documentaries, including a film on the “cautionary tale” of WeWork and its charismatic co-founder Adam Neumann.
Weighing in with an 11-word title, WeWork: Or The Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn debuts on the streaming platform April 2. Jed Rothstein directed the documentary exploring the office space-sharing startup that attracted massive investment and then nearly collapsed in a twisted pile of Herman Miller chairs. Neumann, described as a “hippie-messianic leader,” was bought out to the tune of a billion dollars.
As Deadline reported last month, Apple TV+ has separately ordered WeCrashed, a limited series based on the WeWork debacle, to star Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto.
Hulu says its documentary benefits from interviews with “journalists, experts and high-ranking former employees” to tell “one of the biggest corporate flameouts and venture capitalist bubbles in recent years.” Campfire, Forbes and...

Australian actress Emma Hamilton is set to star in Fatal Beauty, a Mar Vista Entertainment indie feature written and directed by Joel Soisson. It follows Trevor and Michelle Gustafson (Hamilton) who have what most would think is the typical suburban life. When new neighbors move in next door, tensions between Michelle and Trevor build up, and sinister motives from neighbors turn this quiet neighborhood into a place of chaos, shame, and fear. Margret Huddleston, Michael Leahy, and Lori Leahy are producing the project which will begin filming this month. Hamilton, whose credits include the Australian series, Hyde & Seek, and Showtime’s The Tudors, is repped by The Rosenzweig Group, Abrams Artists and Troika in the UK.

Sam and Molly aren’t having a great anniversary. In Jared Stern’s directorial debut “Happy Anniversary,” the long-time couple are ostensibly celebrating three years together when Molly (Noël Wells) makes a startling admission: she’s not happy. That’s certainly one way to put a major pin in Sam (Ben Schwartz) offering up relatively benign wish of “happy anniversary” on, you know, their actual anniversary.
What follows in the new Netflix original is a day-long exploration of the pair’s relationship, complete with flashbacks to their earliest days, and a two-pronged perspective that allows both Sam and Molly to explore the good and bad of their bond, and where it might go in the future.
It’s a cute conceit for a rom-com, but it’s also laced through with truth — Stern himself has admitted it’s a semi-autobiographical tale — and the problems that plague Sam and Molly are extremely relatable.

There's good news in the kidnapping case of Isabella Miller-Jenkins. "A Mennonite minister was found guilty on Tuesday of aiding and abetting international kidnapping by helping a woman flee to Nicaragua with her daughter to evade court orders giving visitation rights to her former lesbian partner." I've been following this case since it started, and hopefully this is just the beginning of prosecutions.

Can true love triumph over all? It's a heavy question, but it's one Jane Espenson tackles in both of her latest project: the hit ABC drama Once Upon a Time and the Web program Husbands.

The fairy tale side of the story breaks some new ground in the area of cricket backstories. It’s really an origin story, in fact, as we see him laying the ground toward becoming a conscience. When it comes to Joss Whedon's work, I've seen Serenity, Toy Story and Alien: Resurrection. I've never seen "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", I have seen a season of "Angel" though I'm not sure how many of the episodes he wrote or had anything to do with, I've never seen an episode of "Dollhouse" and I tried to watch a little of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" but I wasn't able to get into it. So, when Whedon's new production company Bellwether Pictures announces he has just completed 12 days of principal photography on a modern version of Willian Shakespeare's classic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" I'm not particularly moved. However, I love the fact he has a team of regulars he works with that truly seem interested in telling stories and are passionate about doing so to the point they do it because they love it and not for the money moves me immensely.

I adore Joss Whedon! He created one of the best TV shows ever with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and his take on "The Avengers" looks very promising.
But this morning, to my surprise, there may be a new Whedon offering in the horizon by way of William Shakespeare!
Nathan Fillion, Whedon's partner-in-crime in the sci-fi series "Firefly" tweeted last night with a cryptic note, more like a link to muchadothemovie.com.
And when you go to the website, you see a black and white picture of a snorkeling guy, martini in hand, and the words "A Film by Joss Whedon" in the bottom.
According to The Wrap by way of The Huffington Post, the film is indeed made, and Whedon has adapted, written, and directed the movie.
Hhmmm, an intriguing news for Whedon fans everywhere!

Last night, tweets from former “Firefly” actors Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher linked to the site MuchAdoTheMovie.com, which announced the completion of a secret movie based on William Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing.
This caused quite an ado on Twitter, but it’s really something. Joss Whedon, who created “Firefly” among other cult favorites like “Buffy”, “Angel,” and “Dollhouse,” confirmed the movie “based on a play” on Monday with an official press release from the “micro studio” he co-created, Bellwether Pictures.
The release, included in its entirety below, says the black-and-white film was shot in 12 days in “exotic” Santa Monica and features other past Whedon collaborators Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as “the world’s least likely lovers headed for their inevitable tumble into love.”
The surprise has been met mostly with excitement from the filmmaker’s loyal band of “Whedonites,” but some have expressed concern about Marvel’s The Avengers,...
