Paris -- The official jury and public voters sang the same tune Thursday as the Paris Cinema International Film Festival wrapped, bestowing their top prizes on Stephen Walker's "Young@Heart."
The Walker George Films-produced documentary about singing seniors aired on Channel 4 in the U.K. in 2006 and will be released in Gallic theaters by Le Pacte at the end of 2008. The movie is in U.S. release courtesy of Fox Searchlight Pictures.
Le Pacte will receive 10,000 euros ($15,800) to support the film's theatrical release, and Metrobus will offer a free ad campaign in Parisian subway stations for the title.
A student jury gave its "Best Bet for the Future" prize to Jim Libiran's "Tribu" from the Philippines.
