Natalia Budkina (aka Natalia Plaksina) is a general producer and a
managing partner of Talan Film Company, one of the leading television
production companies in Russia. Her experience in media industry
exceeds 15 years, which gives her extensive knowledge of the industry.
Budkina has founded Talan in 2004 and built the company from the
scratch. Always working with integrity and highest business ethics, she
gathered a team of professionals capable of creating true touching
stories and putting them into life. Now, Budkina oversees all company
activities, including script development, all stages of production, key
negotiations with channels, finding and hiring talent for projects and
government relations. While in Talan, she produced many award-winning
projects, among them "Courier of Special Importance," "Phantom," "Agent
A\ 201. Our man in Gestapo," "The Secret Guard," to name but a few. In
2013, Budkina produced her first feature film "The Find" (aka
"Nakhodka") directed by Victor Dement. Prior to founding Talan, she
served as a producer on many prime-time television shows of Russian
federal channels. In 2002-2003 she was a line-producer of one of the
most viewed TV shows of the year - a "New Year's Show" on the First
Channel. In 2003-2005, she produced New Year's programs for several
channels, including CTC's "Night as In Childhood" (aka "Noch v Stile
Detstva") and "Surfing the Memories" (aka "Po Volnam Moei Pamyati")
marked with the prestigious Russian Academy of Television Award - TEFI.
Since 2003, Budkina was in charge of a daily show "Advice Country" (aka
"Strana Sovetov") as a producer. The show was broadcast on NTV for one
year and a half. Budking began her career as an assistant to VP at PIDP
Inc., an exclusive distributor of Warner Brothers in Russia and CIS.
She holds a degree in film production from All-State Russian Institute
of Cinematography. A member of Russian Association of Filmmakers and
Producers Guild of Russia.
