To celebrate Moschino’s 40th anniversary, four celebrated stylists were asked to create a collection inspired by Franco Moschino’s iconic designs in the period between 1983 — when the designer’s flair and creative genius broke into the monotony of Milanese fashion with his innovative and unusual clothes — and 1993, the year of the last fashion show before his untimely death.
Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Lucia Liu are the creative souls who were given the task of putting together the collection, after the departure of previous creative director Jeremy Scott. Sitting in the front row was an attentive and vigiliant Alberta Ferretti — founder of the Aeffe group, the brand owner’s — enjoying the fruits of their labor, on such an important anniversary and with a fitting tribute to the brand’s founder.
For the show, titled “40 Years of Love,” each stylist brought 10 personal interpretations of Moschino’s unmistakable style.

When she found out that Season 2 of “The White Lotus” would be set in Sicily, costume designer Alex Bovaird knew she’d have to up the ante.
“When people, especially Americans, go to Italy, they dress up a bit more. They bring their A-game,” she says, nodding towards the more beachy and casual wardrobe seen in Season 1, when the series’ rich and morally bankrupt characters cared little about impressing the Hawaiian people surrounding them.
Season 2 also traverses further outside of the White Lotus hotel than Season 1 did — again, because wealthy Americans are more likely to take a holistic interest in a Western European country than in the Pacific Islands, where the resort was treated like it was the entire world. And the more locations there were, the more the costumes varied.

What's in the box envelope? That's what people are wondering after Olivia Wilde was interrupted by a mysterious delivery during a presentation for her upcoming movie, Don't Worry Darling, on April 26. As Olivia spoke, an unidentified woman stepped to the stage with an envelope labeled "personal and confidential." The seemingly unscripted incident occurred as the 38-year-old, wearing a velvet suit by Alberta Ferretti, was on stage at Las Vegas' Colosseum at Caesars Palace for CinemaCon. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Olivia—who directed and stars in the psychological thriller—was reading from a teleprompter when a woman from the crowd walked up to her and placed a...

While we can't promise her advice will turn you into a Hollywood icon who dominates box offices, television screens (Fox's 9-1-1) and red carpets (turning up at this year's Oscars in a jaw-droppingly stunning crimson Alberta Ferretti), it is remarkably easy to follow. "Well, I try to move more," she told E! News when asked how she prioritizes her health. "I have stuff at the house: I have a bike. I have sneakers, two working feet, two working legs." Noting that the process of staying in shape doesn't "have to be so...

An abbreviated red carpet and an intimate event planned for Sunday night’s 93rd Academy Awards resulted in a decidedly smaller, more curated audience than at past Oscar ceremonies — but all those close-up looks at actresses at L.A.’s Union Station also resulted in some terrific glimpses at diamonds and gemstones.
Among the night’s best moments in sparkle: Angela Bassett’s Chopard earrings, a terrific pairing with her Alberta Ferretti dress, and the headline-making abundance of Bulgari diamonds that Zendaya wore with her neon-yellow Valentino gown.
Here’s a close-up look at eight of the night’s most dazzling jewelry moments.

The polished fashion sense of the “Ocean’s” franchise is at the heart of Gary Ross’ opulently costumed “Ocean’s 8.” The film, to be released by Warner Bros. on June 8, follows a jewelry heist pulled off by an all-female crew on fashion’s grandest night: the Costume Institute’s notoriously exclusive Met Gala.
Costume designer Sarah Edwards infused each member of the star-studded cast with a distinct identity. “Cate Blanchett had 40 changes; Sandra Bullock had 65. It was a mixture of everything,” she says of her diverse designs, noting that she custom-made some garments (like the looks of a fictional runway show featured in the film), while others were discovered off the rack and in thrift stores — or in the case of the characters’ gala gowns, made by top designers.

Alec Baldwin gets a pretty funny Vanity Fair cover story. I wonder what he's been up to lately. [Copious]
Hey Simon Doonan, what do you know about the hotel industry?
Give an average bloke a room key and a mint on his pillow and suddenly that person turns into a rule-breaking, wild-eyed, Charlie Sheenian sexual outlaw. Stick an average broad in a hotel bar and she turns into Rielle Hunter. A friend of mine who works in the hotel industry keeps me abreast of all the latest trends in anti-social and revolting guest behavior. According to my “hospitality insider,” nefarious guest activities are only becoming more foul and disturbing. Though he enjoys his work, he has started to feel somewhat constrained, specifically in regard to fabric choices.
