I don’t play first person shooters anymore. Back in the early days of the Xbox, I was a fervent, if untalented, Halo addict, staying up until all hours of the night with three friends in a cramped bedroom repeating the same loop of Hang ‘Em High, Boarding Action and Battle Creek, every game ending invariably with me at the bottom of the scoreboard. We rarely played the single-player; it was fun but it didn’t provide the same adrenaline-pumping, nerve-scraping experience we compulsively craved. One thing that can really make or break a horror film is the choice of music for its soundtrack, and no one is more aware of that than Fetch producer Theodore Loscalzo, who dropped us a line with a little behind-the-scenes info on the scoring process for the film along with a few clips of the types of music we can expect to hear in the finished product.
