Iykyk is often used to allude to an inside joke and could not be more fitting when talking about Parker Seaman’s insane music video LA On Acid – his third collaboration with electronic music producer and DJ Dillon Francis. Opening mischievously with a spiked chicken nugget provided by none other than Diplo, LA On Acid takes its audience on a hypnotising dive into a wild trip – a fitting music video sensory overload which has had the volume cranked up to full. Wild camera set-ups, freaky yet wholly absorbing bulging eyes, a breakdancing duck and eel dicks. Seaman built upon his longstanding, established relationship with Francis and took his time to work collaboratively with the artist to really understand each beat and lyric of the song and how to represent that in the most demented and superb fashion. Set in a vintage Chinese restaurant with a cast of bizarre yet oddly...

The Edm festival Beyond Wonderland marked a number of firsts for Val Flores. The 22-year-old had been to raves before, but nothing of this scale. Scheduled to take place at Washington’s Gorge Amphitheatre on June 17 and 18, the event was her first full-blown weekend-festival outing. Artists including Dillon Francis, Kx5, Sub Focus, and Marshmello were scheduled to perform over the two days. But the event’s second day was canceled after a tragic incident took place, which marked another first for Flores: her first time being caught in a mass shooting.

What happens when a made-up, virtual rapper signs a deal with a major record label? In the case of Fn Meka, a digitally rendered Black artist largely controlled by artificial intelligence and non-Black creators, major missteps and public backlash over “digital blackface” quickly led to a fiery end. Within weeks, Capitol Records scrapped his deal, his Instagram went private and most of his TikToks were deleted.
The saga resurfaced ongoing conversations about cultural appropriation and racism in AI, given Meka’s use of the N-word and fabricated backstory about his time spent in prison. That the “robot rapper” even received a record deal and amassed more than 10 million followers on TikTok, though, shows that the interest in virtual influencers has persisted, six years after another virtual project — Lil Miquela, an L.A.-based singer and model — became an online sensation.

Dillon Francis brought his real love to the red carpet! The "Get Low" artist turned up to the 2022 Grammy Awards on April 3 with the best accessory of all—or certainly the most delicious. Along with a casual blue T-shirt and silver chain necklace, Dillon walked the red carpet with a Walgreens shopping bag filled with Little Bite muffins straight out of our childhood. Despite how it may look, we're gonna guess that he's not delivering Postmates, but rather just coming prepared for the award show, which is hosted by comedian Trevor Noah in Las Vegas this year. And, based on this look, it seems Sin City offered some pretty limited...

Roll, a startup whose premise is to give fans a glimpse into the mobile camera rolls belonging to top creators, has caught the eye of David Dobrik, Tana Mongeau, Airrack, Dillon Francis, and Sommer Ray.
It launches today and says its star-studded roster collectively counts 200 million followers across social media. Asked how a relatively unknown startup managed to recruit some of the top digital creators on the web, co-founder Erik Zamudio tells Tubefilter that it mostly onboarded stars via mutual friends, after which interest snowballed.
Roll's four founders met building David's Disposable, Dobrik’s disposable camera-inspired app that evolved into the social platform now known as Dispo. They decline to say why they departed Dispo, and the team is opting to remain anonymous, aside from Zamudio.

Jukin Media is set to launch its first adult-leaning animated series in partnership with musician and influencer Dillon Francis.
The short-form comedy series, titled Couch Kings, will air on Jukin’s FailArmy property, with Francis serving as executive producer. The series will see Dillon and his childhood best friend, Eric Hamilton, chilling on their couch and watching FailArmy vidoes. This, in turn, will spur absurd quests for adventure alongside comedian guest stars like Adam Ray, Amanda McCants, Maddy Whitby, and Trevor Wallace.
The concept for Couch Kings was born of Francis’ music video for "Fix Me" (see below) which was directed by Brandon Dermer (who serves as an EP on the series) in collaboration with Jukin Media and animation studio Bleach Media. A total of four episodes will air across FailArmy’s social accounts, while a 30-minute special airing on its streaming TV channel.

A few beats later, and it’s clear it’s the latter.

Kanye West’s Easter Sunday service was a joyous celebration in the Coachella Valley, filled with music and excitement in the early morning. The first service started around 9 Am Pacific time, with a second scheduled for 3 Pm.
West’s service is more music than religion, but has caught on in Los Angeles. At Coachella, a special stage was set up in the campground for the ceremony. Promoters said about 100,000 people were expected to attend, and judging from the livestream broadcast, those expectations appear to have been met.
The Sunday Service had a massive choir and orchestra. Watch the live stream above.
So far, the Easter performance has featured Stevie Wonder’s “Do I Do,” Gap Band’s “Outstanding,” and appearances by Chance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, and producer Mike Dean. West also performed a new song, “Water,” and at one point broke down emotionally, being consoled by Chance the Rapper.

He has given one hit after another, but Grammy-nominated producer DJ Snake says he never assumes success or craves it. DJ Snake debuted on the international scene in 2013 with singles "Bird machine" and "Turn down for what". He later came out with tracks like "Get low", "Lean on", "Magenta Riddim" and "Taki taki".
Did he expect all his tracks to blow up like they did?
"No, I never assume success or crave it. I make what I love and then share it with everyone," DJ Snake, whose given name is William Sami Etienne Grigahcine, told Ians in an e-mail interview.
In his musical journey, DJ Snake, who bagged the ninth spot on the Billboard Dance 100 in March 2018, has collaborated with renowned personalities like Cardi B, Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Dillon Francis and Lil Jon.

Best known for his arena-caliber Edm and bombastic bass drops, Los Angeles-born DJ-producer Dillon Francis has a long and storied history with Latin music. He began releasing mostly dubstep tracks in 2010, when the then-nascent moombahton genre — which combines electro-house with Latin-tinged reggaeton beats — first took the Internet by storm. Francis then notched his first major hit in 2011 via “Que Que,” a Spanish-language track alongside mentor and frequent collaborator Diplo, featuring Dominican-American artist Maluca. Fast-forward to 2018, and Francis has reached the cusp of a new career chapter: Dillon Francis, Latin pop crossover star.
