Set in the near future, unchecked and rampant climate change has caused temperatures and sea levels to rise catastrophically. Only two large continents remain, and billions die during the mass migration to these higher lands. Surrounded by an endless ocean thousands of miles from home, a skeleton crew of soldiers stand as the last bastion, defending their homeland from an invasion by an enemy they have never seen, monitoring for signs of attack and prepared to sacrifice themselves for the cause. Their tour of duty ended 3 months ago with no relief in sight. Alone and uncertain as to what fate awaits them,...

Exclusive: Vince Marcello (The Kissing Booth trilogy) is set to showrun and executive produce Diva, a new drama series inspired by the exploits of real-life French heroine Julie d’Aubigny, from iGeneration Studios. Marcello co-created the series with Max Benitz — who will serve as its head writer — and will also direct a portion of its episodes.
Billed as a period adventure-drama told through a very contemporary lens, Diva chronicles D’Aubigny’s rise from an impoverished servant in 1680s France to battle rogues and royalty alike, in her quest to conquer the stage as the opera singer otherwise known as La Maupin. The show set amidst some of Europe’s most iconic settings, including Louis Xiv’s Palace of Versailles, the backstreets of Paris and Marseille, and the lavender-filled hillsides of Provence, will then watch as La Maupin finds fame, fortune and love – with both men and women – along the way.

War Games (formerly At the End of the Day) is the first feature from acclaimed music video director Cosimo Alemà. It's about a paint ball game gone horribly, and dangerously wrong and I think it looks pretty intense.
Synopsis:
A game of paintball turns deadly when three unhinged and deranged ex-soldiers play a twisted mind game of catch and release with their unsuspecting victims. This quickly leads to a bloody manhunt where everyone is a target, and no one is safe.

Back in mid-2009 we got the first word from writer/director Ian Fielding about his upcoming Wilby Park, and now there's an official trailer for us to check out.
The film's tagline is "A Story Inside a Story Inside a Story", and Fielding promises we can expect "fully fledged characters, sinister tactics, and some mind-bending reality shifts". He also gives special credit to Dave Johnston (aka Gecko) for his "wonderfully menacing, creepy, and thunderous score". For a taste of what Johnston can do, check out his MySpace page.
But back to Wilby Park. Here's a bit of plot recap:
Monica Hamlyn (Claire Conroy) is studying creative writing in Wilby. She lives with her friend, Bailey (Susan Momoko Hingley), who studies fine art. When Monica invites a new flatmate, Emily Bodega (Laura Evelyn), into the fold, she lets in more than she bargained for. Emily harbours an obsessive crush on Martin...

These remind of the Lynchian and incredibly stunning Nuit Noire, but unfortunately, their only publicity stills. We can hope this entire UK indie which is directed by Ian Fielding and currently in post is shot the same way but I highly doubt it.
Wilby Park is a psychological thriller set in the fictional village of Wilby, embedded somewhere in the south of England. Monica Hamlyn (played by Claire Conroy) is studying creative writing. She lives with her friend Bailey (Susan Momoko Hingley), who studies fine art. When Monica invites a new flatmate, Emily Bodega (Laura Evelyn), into the fold, she lets in more than she bargained for.
Emily harbours an obsessive crush on Martin Dagenham (Andrew Mills), who is desperately trying to avoid her. That doesn’t stop Emily trying to stop anyone who stands in her way. A deadly cat and mouse game between the girls ensues. The nefarious...
