Antonio Iorio "Daniel Akim" was born in Salerno, Italy, on the 18th of April 1996, and since childhood has shown significant talent, qualities and attraction for Music, impassioning to the sound of the electric bass in particular thanks to Jaco Pastorius, one of his greatest inspirations together with legendary artists like: Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Stanley Clarke, The Weather Report, Return To Forever, Quincy Jones and many others.
At the age of 8 Antonio began to play the Electric Bass, only a couple of years after he had as gift his first electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. In the following years, He began to perform in different (Jazz, Rock, Blues, R&B & Pop) italian bands and by the age of 13, He collaborated with Jazz musicians such as Julian Oliver Mazzariello, Roberto Martinelli, Marco Brioschi, Pietro Vitale, Giampiero Virtuoso and many others...
In 2011, Antonio began his first professional experiences and collaborations in the music business and in the entertainment industry, just a couple of years after He began recording his first Album "An Overture from the Earth" and few months after He realized his first recording session in the Studio with Julian Oliver Mazzariello on keyboards, Giampiero Virtuoso on drums and Roberto Martinelli on saxophone.
By August 2012, at the age of only 16, Antonio became a Featured Artist of "Acoustic USA", a branch of the historical and prestigious Bass-Amplification brand "Acoustic Control Corporation", re-launched in 2011 by Mr. George Grexa, owner of The G.P.G. Co. Inc. . In particular Mr. Iorio appeared together with Flea (The bassist from Red Hot Chili Peppers) in addition to all the historical artists like Jaco Pastorius, Carlos Santana, The Doors, Stanley Clarke, The Jackson 5 and many others who contributed in making "Acoustic" one of the most famous and relevant brands in the bass amplification's history.
