Back in 2021, Prime Video aired the first season of the horror anthology series Them (you can read our review Here), which creator Little Marvin and executive producer Lena Waithe put together with the intention of telling stories that will “explore terror in America.” All eight episodes of the second season, which is called Them: The Scare, are set to be released through Prime Video on Thursday, April 25th – and with that date just four weeks away, a trailer for the new season has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.
A press release notified us that Them: The Scare will be, like its predecessor, set in Los Angeles. The first season, which is subtitled Covenant, took place in Compton circa 1952, while the new episodes move the time frame forward to 1991. This article contains spoilers for the premiere episode of "The Continental."
Even a casual viewer of the "John Wick" films can't help but be intrigued by the franchise's assassin-filled world. One of the unique pleasures of the original 2014 movie is the way it begins in a very grounded, incredibly recognizable reality, sliding bit by bit into a wilder, more garish, more violent, more intriguing underworld along with John (played in the films by Keanu Reeves), as he delves back into the life of murder he thought he'd left behind.
The very first spinoff/expanded universe/prequel to come from the "John Wick" films is the Peacock original miniseries "The Continental: From the World of John Wick," and it finds itself in territory that's both untouched and well-established. Each subsequent "John Wick" film (from Chapters 2 through 4) has developed the world of "Wick" on a grand, global scale, taking John to locales all around the world.

Mumbai, July 22 (Ians) The much awaited prequel spin-off series of the gun slinging reaper John Wick is on its way with ‘The Continental: From The World of John Wick’. Dating back to the hellscape of 1970’s New York and diving deeper into the ‘John Wick’ mythology, the series will see the origins of the New York Continental and will be seen from the eyes of a young Winston Scott who is both its manager and a close friend of Wick.
The series has set its premiere for September 22 on Ott.
The series will explore the origins behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins, which is one of centerpieces of the ‘John Wick’ universe and serves as the one place where none from this underground assassin world can be killed, due to the rules which state that no ‘business’ can be conducted on the grounds of any Continental.

Ever since John Wick: Chapter 4 became a franchise-best as it gathered enthusiastic reactions across the board, and a billion dollars at the box office, Lionsgate kept asking the filmmakers if they’re back. And they haven’t really had an answer. But, now, yeah. They’re thinking they’re back! While Chapter 4 slyly left it up to interpretation on whether or not John Wick is truly out of commission, the door was cracked open enough so that if Chad Stahelski and company decided to return for another round of bullets and fists, they could. Additionally, it had been reported that after the opening performance of Chapter 4, Lionsgate was begging for more with Keanu Reeves in the titular role, even though he’s already set to make a small appearance in the upcoming spin-off, Ballerina.

At the end of last week’s episode, we sadly learnt that former Mrs Continental, Naysha Lopez, would sadly be leaving the competition after Jimbo tried (and failed) to get her revenge on her from Drag Race UK vs The World with the returning lip-sync assassin Pangina Heels! After what can only be described as a fairly one-sided battle, it was revealed that the group had decided that it was Natasha’s time to leave which meant that the other bottom queen Kahana Montrese would get another chance this season. It was when the actual votes were revealed however that we saw our first glimpses of drama from this season of returning queens after Jessica explained that the reason she voted for Kahana to home was that she couldn’t vote for Naysha as they are both from Puerto Rico. While I understand that this is a natural connection between...

I have to admit that going into the opening episode of this season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars I was quite surprised by the selection of queens asked to return to the werk-room. Don’t get me wrong every single one of the queens are extremely talented but some of these were not obvious choices or necessarily queens I would invite if I was in charge of casting. Unlike previous seasons there are not a lot of queens who have made it to the top four/three on their original seasons in fact there are quite a few queens in this iteration of all-stars who were eliminated first!
The first queen returning to our screens is the blessed and highly-favoured, gap-tooth icon Heidi N Closet from season twelve. This fan-favourite queen has been extremely busy recently with her podcast Hall and Closet (with co-star and season twelve winner...

RuPaul’s Drag Race has effectively become the biggest drag pageant in the world, as competitors from across the US and in their respective countries vie for the title of Drag Superstar. Season 15 frontrunner Sasha Colby is a former winner of Miss Continental, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious pageants on the planet. But Colby isn’t the only Continental winner to sashay onto the Drag Race stage.

The dawn of RuPaul’s Drag Race at the turn of the 2010s marked the beginning of drag’s proliferation in the mainstream and on television. Drag Race has exploded all over the world with over a dozen (and counting) international franchises, and has inspired the creation of new shows centered around drag. Queen of the Universe is one of these shows, combining drag with live singing in a Drag Race-meets-American Idol-style competition. And when Queen of the Universe returns for its second season on Paramount+ in March 2023, two Drag Race alumnae will be competing for the crown.

The first look at The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, has been revealed, showcasing Rachel Zegler’s character and a young Coriolanus Snow.
“‘This is very much a story about love,’ says Francis Lawrence. The sentiment may be surprising, coming from the director of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes—but there’s far more to this prequel than the Games you’re expecting. ‘It’s this kind of love story set in a different kind of a world in a different time,’ he adds. ‘A very intimate love story.’ He isn’t wrong.”
