Children from eight members of The Beach Boys have formed their own tribute band. California Saga comprises Al Jardine's sons Adam and Matt, Mike Love's children Ambha and Christian, Dennis Wilson's boys Justyn and Carl B, and Brian Wilson's daughters Carnie and Wendy. The lineup is completed by Carnie's husband Rob Bonfiglio and Beach Boys associate Billy Hinsche. Carnie and Wendy Wilson previously formed two thirds of 'Hold On' singers Wilson Phillips. The new band described themselves as "the next chapter in the story of America's Band". They played their first two performances as the opening act to The Beach Boys last month. Carnie Wilson said of the band: "It's gruelling and it's tedious but it's worth it because we're (more)...

Do not be alarmed. You have not been transported through a wormhole back to 1999... but it might feel like it. April 2012 is looking an awful lot like the 1990s. Whether you're at the movies, watching TV, or picking out your clothes, there's a definite resurgence of '90s nostalgia. For those of us who still remember the '90s like it was yesterday, it's a little weird that it's also, well, today.
First of all, there's the fact that James Van Der Beek is back on television. "Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23" premieres this Wednesday, April 11. In the ABC comedy, Van Der Beek plays a fictional version of himself -- a version that wears "Dawson's Creek" flannel and blasts Paula Cole's "I Don't Want To Wait" in order to seduce women.

If you were surprised Chynna Phillips pulled out the big guns -- performing to her iconic hit, "Hold on" -- only three weeks into the new season of "Dancing With the Stars," you're not alone.
But the Wilson Phillips singer says it was a no-brainer.
"[It was] very moving for me," Chynna told press, including Zap2it, backstage after the show, adding that having band-mates Carnie and Wendy Wilson there made it even more special. "There was no second-guessing it. I knew that was the most memorable year of my life... Going through everything I that I had gone through and coming out the other side was just really important."
Someone not as convinced was partner Tony Dovolani, who got a little nervous when he realized he was choreographing a dance for the song's writer.

Zap2it's weekly "'Dancing with the Stars' Diary" offers fans a backstage pass to everybody's favorite only reality competition that throws celebrities at the mercy of that fickle mistress we call dance.
As the always perceptive Kathie Lee Gifford says, everyone has a story.
And stars are no exception.
"Dancing With the Stars" put its remaining 10 contestants through the week 3 ringer Monday (Oct. 3), with its seasonal tear-jerking rite of passage, "Story Week."
Those stories varied from the deeply personal (J.R. Martinez's tribute to the troops; Nancy Grace's near-death experience) to the exciting (Kristin Cavallari's Beyonce-infused foray into her career) to the baffling (Hope Solo dressed like a gypsy hooker because, you know... soccer?).
It was also a night of high scores, though even Chaz Bono's best showing to date left him alone at the bottom of the leader board.
But who surprised us with their polished performance?...

Wilson Phillips have reunited again for their fourth album, "Christmas in Harmony." It's the award-winning group's first album in over six years.
The multi-platinum trio of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips are set to release their first ever Christmas album, including their versions of classic Christmas songs like "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Silver Bells," "Little Drummer Boy," and "The Christmas Song."
The album will be led by their cover of "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday," the Roy Wood-penned 1973 classic which has since been covered by groups like the Spice Girls and the Saturdays. They're also set to perform the track on "The View" and "Good Morning America" later this year.
On "Christmas in Harmony," Wilson Phillips collaborated with Glen Ballard, best known for his work with Alanis Morissette and Michael Jackson. Ballard was also the main producer behind their self-titled debut, which yielded three #1 hits including "Hold On.

BFFs, music legend Chynna Phillips tells HollywoodLife.com that she has a lot of “compassion” for what Lindsay is going through but she thinks Lindsay needs to step up and take control of her life.
Chynna Phillips has overcome many obstacles in her life and now she wants to offer up advice for other struggling stars, particularly Lindsay Lohan. We spoke to Chynna, June 8, about Lindsay’s recent sentencing to 90 days in jail for violating her probation, and she believes Lindsay can only look to herself during this tough time.
“In terms of Lindsay’s situation, we can all say ‘I had a terrible mother or I was thrown into this Hollywood world too young’ and that’s all absolutely true,” says Chynna. “But at the end of the day when the curtains are closed and all is said and done everyone is responsible for themselves … I feel very compassionate for her right now.

The Nelson twins are synonymous with many things, not the least of which is music. Lightening struck fast and furious when their debut album "After the Rain" went platinum in1990, and with a new CD in the works, they're primed for a second strike. It's not unlikely, afterall. Talent does have a way of repeating itself. Mathew Nelson and Gunnar Nelson surged onto the musical scene in 1990 with their long blond locks, boyish good looks, and a handful of catchy pop/rock songs and videos. Their so-called "overnight success" began with a platinum debut album that garnered a #1 hit with "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection," followed by four top-ten hits, four #1 videos on MTV/VH1, and a world-wide tour. Their venture into music at a young age came as no surprise. Aside from inheriting good looks by "hitting the gene pool lottery" as Matthew describes it, the brothers...
