The veteran Scottish actor has always been a smoothie, and now he's showing off his moves in Streetdance 2. He talks to us about salsa, stardom – and being the oldest person on set
In the middle of Streetdance 2, a breakdance crew storms a Parisian bar to show off their moves. They flex and writhe as the music thumps. On the edge of the circle, away from the sweat and the fury, Tom Conti leads a partner through a gentle spot of salsa.
"It really wasn't about dancing," says the 71-year-old of his awkward turn on the boards. "It was about the connection between man and woman. The streetdancers don't connect with each other, they just do phenomenal acrobatics. There's no sex, really."
Conti doesn't like to dance. He has trouble with the tango, spurns the quickstep. He turned down Strictly Come Dancing ("I'd make a total arse of myself"), but he likes music,...

Dappy has claimed that his cousin Tulisa Contostavlos will be brutally honest on The X Factor.
The n-Dubz rapper has been a vocal opponent of the ITV show on many occasions recently, however today he admitted that he is ‘proud’ of his bandmate landing such a high profile job and knows that she will be a tough nut to crack when she critiques hopefuls.
Dappy told Top Of The Pops magazine that it ‘amazing’ to think of Tulisa as a judge, explaining:
“We were pleased and proud of her. To know that a member from a homegrown act like N-Dubz is good enough for The X Factor is amazing.”
“What will she bring to the show? She’ll be straight and brutal. If you’re bad, you’re going to get it!”
It was recently reported that while Tulisa had hoped to have Dappy at her side when recording her judges houses rounds,...

Here at Unreality TV, we have never been great fans of Louis Walsh however we’re starting to wonder if we got him all wrong.
Everyone seems very fond of the Irish star on The X Factor set this year and none more so that N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos. We have previously reported on how well the pair have hit it off, since the N-Dubz singer replaced Cheryl Cole on the show’s judging panel earlier this year and in a new interview with Top Of The pops magazine, she has been gushing about her new friend again!
She has even given Louis his own nickname and told the publication:
“I love Lou-Lou – he’s my little muffin!”
Tulisa has also promised that she won’t lose her temper or get angry while working on The X factor but did warn contestants, that they shouldn’t consider her a pushover.

Olly Murs has revealed that despite the fact that the X Factor bootcamp hasn’t even been held yet, show bosses have already booked and sorted most of the judges houses locations for next month.
The Xtra Factor presenter – and former show contestant – told Heat magazine that Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh have all chosen where they will take their hopeful singers, leaving just N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos to sort her venue out.
Olly explained:
“I get a nice 3 or 4 weeks away. I can’t possibly tell you where I’m going but I’m sure you can find out online.”
“Tulisa is the only judge at the moment who we don’t know where she will be taking the contestants. All the other judges have confirmed but Tulisa is the only one we don’t know about.”

N-Dubz have expressed disappointment after only receiving one nomination for this year's Brit Awards. 'Number One', which saw band member Dappy team up with grime star Tinchy Stryder, has been nominated for the 'Best British Single' prize, but the trio have failed to pick up any other nods. Speaking on Live From Studio Five, Dappy admitted: "We wanted to get nominated for a couple more." His bandmate Tulisa added: "It was a bit of a cheap cop-out really because it's a 'featuring' song - it's not actually our song.
