If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
David Letterman and Seth Meyers are on repeats this week, but Jimmy Fallon is still keeping the holiday spirit alive. On Tuesday night, he and Reese Witherspoon sang "Random Phrase Carols," where classic holiday song lyrics were replaced by random words. For example, "Jingle Bells" became "Small Old Man." (Now "Small old man, small old man, small old man named Tom..." is in our heads forever.) Reese didn't quite nail her solo song, but then she and Jimmy did a little duet. The whole thing was pretty random, but after hearing the same Christmas carols a thousand times a year it's nice to have new lyrics.

Ariel Tweto is so cute she's almost cartoon-like. With a petite frame and an infectious giggle, the 'Flying Wild Alaska' star was a bundle of energy when we hung out to talk about Season 2 (premieres Fri., Oct. 28, 10Pm Et on Discovery). Actually, energetic doesn't even begin to describe her, as our journey through a wide range of talking points proves.
Born Ariel Eva Tuadraq-Atauchaq Tweto, the Eskimo firecracker from Unalakleet, Alaska, struggled to get her pilot's license all through Season 1 in the hopes of taking flight for her family business, Era Alaska, an airline that services the barren land and extreme conditions of the Alaskan wilderness.
"I'm still working on it!," she promised, before launching into one of her many endearing stories -- which are fascinating but, admittedly, not altogether relatable for anyone in the lower 48 states. Like how to properly cook swan.

There are certain shows that I wish weren't on the air not because I have any informed opinions about them, but because their mere existence makes me aware of certain things I'd rather forget about. Like the "Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy" show. Not only am I forced to confront the existence of Larry the Cable Guy every time I write about it, but I am forced to also confront the man's baffling, nearly inexplicable continued success. Today I found myself wondering if he had ever even really worked as a cable guy and I wanted to punch my brain while yelling "Not The Point!!!" at it. I'd leave it off, but then one of you might turn on the History channel this evening hoping for some good rehashing of how killing Nazis is awesome and then you'd see that and be all "Why, Intern Rusty, why have you forsaken me?...
