Lu Lu was born and raised in Southern China. In 2008, she received undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from Fudan University in Shanghai. In May 2012, Lu Lu completed her M.F.A. degree in film production and graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she has been awarded the prestigious John Huston Directing Scholarship. Lu Lu also received recognition from Directors Guild of America for her film "An Early Summer" with the DGA Jury Award for student film. In 2013, she was selected by the Independent-Magazine in America as one of the "10 Filmmakers to Watch" of the year. From 2013-2016, she worked for SMG Pictures in Shanghai as film producer and has worked on several theatrical released feature films. Now Lu Lu is an independent writer/director.
